It has been 2 years since Hiroyuki learned of his existence as a Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi and the power of seals. He was amazed by how such a small but complicated art could seal something as big and vicious as a Tailed Beast. It was that time that he promised himself that he would learn to do seals.
Seals was something that was not commonly practiced as there were a lot of risks. A very small mistake such as a small dot could change the whole equation of the seals and cause it to malfunction. It had to be drawn exactly and perfectly and the sealers had to know what each symbols did in the seal. Many people did not want to take the risk and would rather buy the pre-made ones. This was recommended as well.
If Hiroyuki had not been the child of Minato Namikaze, the person who designed the Reaper Dead Seal, a seal not only perfectly sealed the Tailed Beasts but it also converted the chakra of the Tailed Beast to the chakra of the person who the Tailed Beast is sealed into, and of Uzumaki Kushina, the only Royal survivor of the Uzumaki clan who were known for their talent in the art of sealing, Hiruzen would not have agreed to teaching Hiroyuki the Art of Sealing.
However, to maximize the safety of making seals, Hiruzen made Hiroyuki not only practice writing until it was so perfect it could have been printed but also made him learn all the symbols used in the seal and the meaning behind each, what happens when they are used together, and etc. Hiroyuki, being a Genius and having the talent for Sealing, only took 2 years to perfectly memorize the symbols and have perfect handwriting. He was as prepared as one could be to start making seals.
Hiruzen being the worrywart he is did not want to teach Hiroyuki this dangerous art and has tried to entice him with other arts of Ninja but hearing all the marvelous strengths of each paths, this made Hiroyuki want to strive to be a master of all the arts known in Ninja: Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Genjutsu, Iryojutsu, Fuuinjutsu, Kuchiyose no Jutsu.

Today was the day Hiroyuki turned 6 and he truly wanted to start practicing the art of sealing. He wanted to be able to at least do the basics before entering the Academy for Ninja. So he decided to go to his father aand talk about his choice and ask for permission.
However, when he entered the office, the scene he saw was not something he was expecting. He saw his father and his Kashi-brother both bleeding from their noses and trying to hide something. Hiruzen was in the office talking with Kakashi about the new Icha-icha Paradise: BDSM edision, however when Hiroyuki, his youngest and the most innocent son, came in he remembered his wife's warning on tainting their son and hurriedly hid the book but did not have time to clean his bloody nose.
Hiroyuki, still being 6 and innocent, thought that his father and brother were fighting and that it caused the bleeding.

Both of them could literally feel the fury that was radiating from the ANBUs stations around the office toward them daring them to taint Yuki-Chan.
H: Daddy, why are you fighting with Brother. Was he late again?
3&K: Whew.... almost died
3: No, no, the blood is from trying out a strong jutsu that Kakashi copied from his opponent. Its just that it was too strong that we were not able to use it and the nose bleeding is just the side effect.

3: Well, the condition for you to start seal was to have perfect penmanship and to memorize all the seals and you did just that...... (and it's in 2 years only.... he truly is a prodigy.... most people take years just to get the basics..)
3: Okay. How about we go buy you a new brush as a present from me to you for beginning sealing.
H: Really daddy? Thank you so much.... I actually have a brush that i really want but it is a bit expensive.... but its really nice.
3: What is it?
H: Well.... I saw it 2 weeks ago and I fell in love with it. Its so gorgeous and elegant and it is not as expensive as the other gaudy brushes that looks like it came out of a treasure box but has no uses. Its around 13,000 to 14,000 yuen though. Is that Okay Daddy?
3: Sure, its your first brush. It gotta be special right?
