A GRAVEYARD IS a place that no one wants to visit when trying to see a loved one. It's also a place that Clover hadn't ever expected to go to, especially since she hardly had anyone close in her life that she could mourn over. But the world had still managed to somehow beat the obstacle, and is also what now results in Clover and Yelena visiting the graveyard.

The car rolls to a slow stop before the brakes are put into motion, parking along the side of the road. This then allows herself and Yelena to step out of the car where their feet then hit the concrete pavement with a small thud. Clover then pulls open the back door so that their pet dog, which they only got recently, can also jump out of the vehicle and join them for a walk. A small smile splits across Clovers face as she gently pegs the dog, hand being buried in its white fur.

"Come on, Fanny." Yelena calls.

A joyous bark emits from the dogs throat as it now runs ahead of the twins, happy to be out in the open rather than in the backseat of a vehicle. Clover and Yelena, however, don't think that this visit is at all joyous due to the fact that they're currently making their way towards a graveyard. But the pair know that a dog couldn't possibly know who they're going to pay their respects to, just assuming that it's an ordinary walk to a whole new area.

"Still can't believe you named the dog that." Clover says with a light laugh. "I know that Rick said it was going to be one of Nat's alias' but you didn't have to name the poor dog after it."

"Fanny likes the name." Yelena defends.

"Whatever you say." Clover mumbles.

The twins continue to walk down the quiet path as the dry dirt and fallen leaves can be heard crunching beneath each step they step. Eventually, the both of them come to a stop in front of a specific gravestone as a silence now suddenly fills the air around them.
Clover could've sworn that her heart almost stopped entirely as a breath gets caught within her throat.

Natasha Romanoff's name has been etched into the gravestone, carved into it forever. Along with that, the words 'daughter', 'sister', and 'Avenger' can be seen at the bottom of the stone, just barely visible above the grass that has grown taller. The symbol that used to be on the belt of a Widows suit is also etched into the stone, clear for everyone else to see. However, it's more of a reminder that she was Black Widow the hero, not the ruthless assassin that she was being trained to be from a young age.

Surrounding the gravestone, a variety of flowers and kind gifts have been placed upon the grass and rest gently against the stone. Some of the gifts had been knocked over by the wind, but they all get picked up and moved so that they're now perfectly positioned to Yelena's liking. Each one of the flowers and gifts are civilians paying their respects to the Avenger who had saved their city countless of times, to the Avenger that little girls may look up to and aspire to be — a female hero is always good representation.

Clover places down a bouquet of flowers that herself and Yelena had brought from a florist along the way. A small smile faintly splits across her face as she now notices how it almost stands out amongst the rest of the flowers. Next, Clover places down a My Little Pony Fluttershy toy, an exact replica of the one that she had owned as a child. Natasha had always used to tease Clover about never letting go of the toy, and Clover can tell she would be laughing from Heaven above as she now watches as a similar one is being passed over to her.

The blonde takes a seat upon the dry patch of grass that's directly in front of the grave, and is also still close enough so that her fingers can smoothly run along the carvings of the stone. Clover takes in just how beautifully the gravestone has been decorated by the public, which only shows how loved Natasha Romanoff was. Brown eyes soon drift over to Yelena to see that her forehead is now pressed against the cold stone. As a single tear rolls down her cheek, a low and sad whistle slips past Yelena's lips.

But there's no reply.

A sharp pain strikes Clover's heart at the silence that fills the air, longing for a whistle to respond to them. Natasha always responded, no matter what — and it was vice versa to the twin sisters too. However, now it's down to herself and Yelena to use the whistle to communicate with one another. It was something the three sisters had created when they were only children, and it had always stuck by them.

"I don't feel like such a Lucky Clover." The blonde mumbles out loud. "Alexei's wrong."

"This isn't your fault, Ve." Yelena reminds, placing a hand upon her twins shoulder. "And no one expects you to have an insane amount of luck because your name is Clover. It's just a nickname Alexei made."

"I guess." Clover agrees.

A brief moment of silence falls over the pair, not knowing what else to say that wouldn't dampen the situation even more. Clover lets out a shaky sigh as she turns her attention back to the gravestone that rests in front of her. Neither herself or Yelena got the chance to say their final goodbyes to Natasha, nor did they even get the chance to finally be a normal family after years of being separated.

"I miss you, older sister." Clover states as she speaks in Russian. "I miss you a lot."

"I wish you were still here." Yelena adds.

"We love you, Nat." Clover whispers with a weak smile, a tear rolling down her cheek.

i don't plan on writing for the hawkeye series so i didn't include valentina telling them about how clint 'killed' natasha. i wanted them to get peace in the end, so i've resulted in removing that from the story.
