He was surely torturing Ben.

"Wait, Lucas, what have you done to Ben?" I asked him.

"Just got his toxic mind straight." He casually shrugged his shoulder like that was nothing to him.

"What... What... does that mean?"

"Princess, don't worry. He doesn't gonna die."

"And... What about Anthony?"

"He..." He laughed. "He is at stake."

After a moment, he replied. "What he did, he deserves more than this." His tone went serious.

I just decided to change the topic.

"R-Robert ----"

"Robert does know about this already. But he was waiting for the correct time to catch those bastards. Well, I am proud of my best friend." He chuckled at his own words.

"Lucas, I love that smile. Don't fade it because of me. I want to see you happy."

He listened to me quietly and averted his eyes. Then, he slowly smiled.

Sometimes, my inner voice screams that Lucas is also hurt. He also needs someone to understand him.

A smile doesn't mean you are happy. It shows pain too.

"Where is Robert now?" I asked him, getting my senses back to the conversation we were on.

"He... He is... at mafia headquarters." He said and rubbered the back of his neck as if he didn't want to tell this.

I sighed listening to him.

"And what is he doing there?"

"He... He is the one who was torturing those guys. I am not included." He said and threw his hands in the air to surrender himself.

I nodded no in disbelief. Does it matter to him, that they two were blackmailing me?

We both stood there in silence which was broken by Lucas with rare seriousness in his voice.

"Umm... Princess, I have something more important to talk about." I heard him say.

I nodded.

"Can we?" He said and pointed his finger to let him inside the room.

For a second, I was forced to think about it if Robert got to know. He will surely kill me.

I wonder why he acts so possessively.
