Cass darted down the halls of his floor, then struggled briefly with his door. His hands were shaking with the anticipation of seeing Gabriella.
He grabbed a pair of pants and a shirt, and turned to change. Akses stood in the way.
Cass pursed his lips. "Move out of the way," he said, trying to sound confident, but it was hard to do when he didn't even come up to the demon's shoulder.
"Mm," Akses said, folding his arms across his chest. "Are you sure you want to do this?"
"Uh, yeah," said Cass. "Isn't that why I summoned you?"
Akses flipped his long, dark braid over his shoulder, "Hmph," he said.
Cass squeezed his way past Akses and into the bathroom.
"So," Cass said as he was changing. He could hear Akses fumbling about his room. "Are you going to tag along, or. . ?"
"Yeah," Akses called from somewhere in the dorm "I have nothing better to do."
"Don't you have work back in Hell or something?" Cass asked, pulling on a new pair of ripped jeans.
"No, not after the war."
"What war?"
"Doesn't matter," there was a clatter of something out in the room. "Get dressed."
"Mm, telling me what to do, ehhh." Cass muttered.
"I heard that!"
Cass chuckled, pulling a belt through the loops. "What are you even doing out there?" he asked.
"I have no idea," Akses said, sounding defeated.
Cass slowly opened the bathroom door, not knowing what to expect. He closed his eyes and huffed out a breath when he saw what Akses had done. "Akses. . ."
The demon stood in the corner, having enough sense to at least look sheepish.
"Whatever," said Cass, looking at the mess. "Let's go."
