As I approach the training field, I begin to examine the competition and the battlefield. There has to be at least 100 kids here if not more, all stretching and getting ready for the exam to start. The battlefield looks quite complicated as well, consisting of many tall skyscrapers, probably meant to be based off of a city. I bite my lip, slightly worried. Some o f these kids look tough, like they've been training for months and would kill on sight just for a spot in UA. I close my eyes and take a deep breath. They may have been training for months but I have been training my whole life to serve this one purpose, to make my father proud. I mean I don't really have much of a choice, it's this or death. My thoughts are thankfully interrupted by the loud blaring speakers overhead. "This is Present Mic and I will be your commentary host for this year's entrance exams for all you future UA students! The first test lies before you in this artificial urban city that we've created for your first obstacle. Within this city villains', or in this case robots, will be released and your goal is to immobilize them with your quirks. The thing is, each robot is worth a certain amount of combat points, which are marked on the sides of them. The more points you win, the more likely you are to get into UA. With that being said, the exam starts....NOW!" Only moments after Present Mic Finishes his announcement, me and the rest of the other competitors begin to sprint off towards the entrance of the training field, with me pushing ahead of any of the other participants in my way. I'm here for one reason and one reason only. To win. As I enter the fake city I survey my surroundings, my eyes scaling the height of the buildings. Jeez, they really did go through a lot of trouble trying to make this look exactly like an urban environment, heck it even feels like you're actually in one. Only moments after arriving in the arena, a two pointer bot crawls out from behind one of the buildings, it's red eyes staring menacingly down at me. "Target located." The bot states as it takes a swing at me with one of it's large metal legs. I duck, sliding out beneath it till I'm facing the back of it. I narrow my eyes in concentration as I feel my quirk begin to build up within my throat, begging to be released. As the robot begins to turn around to attempt to finish me off I release the energy from my throat, creating a sonic blast. The blast hits the robot right smack in the middle of it's head and I watch as it begins to quiver and then crash to the pavement. I smile, satisfied at my easy score. 'Now time to get some more points.' I think to myself, suddenly feeling the adrenaline rush through my veins. I sprint farther into the arena looking for my next victim among the chaos. I spot another two pointer not too far off and am filled with excitement as I run off towards it. Unfortunately I am quickly cut short on my journey by a loud blonde screaming "DIE!" as he blasts the robot with his explosive quirk. I groan in disappointment but begin another search, not willing to give up just yet. After several minutes into the exam I had already managed to take down six two pointers and about four one pointers. At this point I was panting heavily, my throat slightly sore from using my quirk so much. I wasn't able to rest long before another announcement was made over the overhead speakers, "Only six minuets left contestants!" I attempt to regain my composure as I spot another one pointer up ahead. 'Might as well try to get as many points as I can before the exam ends.' I muster up whatever energy I have left and dash over to the location of the robot but am once again cut off, when another robot falls to the ground blocking my path. I growl in aggravation, attempting to calculate how I was going to get over this massive robot. My predicament was quickly solved as I watched some kid with an ice quirk impale a robot in the head with a large shard of ice. 'That could be useful.' I think to myself and smirk. A haunting tune flows out of my mouth, all of my energy directed at the boy until finally his attention is directed at me. 'Help me get over this robot.' I command through the use of my quirk. The boy walks over and does as I ask, shooting ice out of his fingertips until an ice ramp is created over the robot's twitching body. I snap my fingers releasing him from the control of my quirk and watch in amusement as he stares at me with a stunned expression. I smirk and wave at him as I slide down the ramp, finally back on task. I'm almost to the robot when a loud rumbling noise fills the air. I snap my head back to where I assume the sound is coming from. Dust clouds block whatever it is from view. The sounds of large mechanical objects can be heard from within the cloud of dust as three giant robots make their way into your line of sight. I stand there confused, more robots for points? No, these are different, they have zeros marked on their right arms. These are just obstacles, something to get in the way of making points. Yet another announcement, making me jump. "Two minutes left~" 'Fuck' I watch anxiously as the giant robots begin making their way over to where most of us have accumulated. Somehow the arena becomes more chaotic than before, everyone scrambling to get away from the metallic beasts. I'm still standing there staring at the robots shocked as something hard and metallic collides into my shoulder knocking me onto my ass. I grunt and look up in anger. The one point robot from before towers over me. "Target located." "Locate this asshole." I yell as I release another sonic screech, sending the robot crumbling. I stand there panting and then snap back to reality. Right, I should probably run so I don't get flattened into a flesh patty. I begin to scale over the rubble and broken robot parts, struggling a bit since there are a lot of them littered across the arena's ground. On my rush to get out a loud "BOOM" could be heard from above, the waves from the impact knocking me over yet again. I look up to see a green haired boy with dark crackling energy engulfing him as he crashes into one of the zero point robots. I stare at him for a bit, intrigued. I make a mental note to talk to my father about this boy later, he could be useful to our cause....As I'm pulling myself back up I hear a loud yelp from my right. I look over to see a blonde haired boy trapped beneath some rubble, unable to escape. I'm about to run off towards the exit when a nagging thought appears in my mind, 'Remember, you're supposed to be pretending to be a hero.' I groan and turn myself around in the direction of the trapped blonde. He looks up instantly as I arrive, a look of relief on his face. "Need some help?" I ask, sighing silently. "Yeah that would be great actually-" He says as he laughs a little, slightly embarrassed. I nod and walk over to the large piece of concrete that has him pinned down. I grip my hands onto the bottom edge of it and begin to lift it up grunting. 'Jeez this is fricking heavy.' Luckily I'm finally able to get it off of him and he scrambles out from underneath. Shakily getting to his feet he thanks me smiling, "Thanks, I really appreciate it, without you I might have become a flattened patty." He looks at me, smiling brightly. We lock eyes for a second, somehow in awe when I see his eyes. They're a bright yellow with golden flecks dotted throughout them. I look away and blush while saying bluntly, "It's no problem." With saying this, I walk off, attempting to get to the entrance like before. You hear him following him but ignore it and pick up the pace a bit. I sigh in relief as the last announcement is made that the exam is over and we can finally go home. We were to be expecting to have our acceptance letters delivered to our homes the next day, giving the judges some time to make their decisions. I stretch a bit as I start to walk out of the UA campus, my whole body aching with exhaustion. I don't get too far before I'm pulled into a dark alleyway unexpectedly. I yelp as I'm pulled in and throw a hard punch at whoever my attacker is. I hear a loud groan as my fist makes an impact with their face. I'm able to get out of their clutches and get ready to throw another punch. "Jeez kid what the fuck, It's just me." I look towards the voice confused until my eyes adjust to the darkness, widening in surprise. Kuroguri stands before me rubbing his nonexistent face making you wonder if behind all those shadows an actual face might exist. Shaking away my curiosities I apologize, "Oh my gosh Kuroguri, I am so sorry, no one told me you were coming to pick me up..." He sighs and shakes his head. "It's fine, let's just bring you back, your father is anxiously awaiting your return." I nod and watch as he opens up another one of his black portals. He extends a hand, motioning for me to go in first. I gulp as I look into the black pit that is the portal, remembering unfondly of what happened last time I went through one of those. I push on anyway though as Kuroguri has begun to look at me impatiently. I step through and cringe as the cold black liquid engulfs me yet again. It spits me back out into the main room of the base as I attempt to not throw up. I regain my composure and catch sight of one of my dad's many henchmen. He locks eyes with me and just points to a room off to the left, my dad's study. I look towards it with a mild fear starting to bloom. I walk off towards it, hoping desperately that I haven't disappointed him.
