Ch 2 : Secret hideout

3rd person's POV

It is time, the class had already ended. The engineer gang was chatting for a bit. Pat seemed to be in a hurry to his dorm.

His friends couldn't get why he's always in a hurry home. Chang even voiced his thoughts,"Why's this boy always in a hurry??"

"Eyy, maybe he got a lover finally??", Mo wiggled his eyebrows at his friends.

" But, He would have told us if he was dating. I don't think it's the case " , Chang said putting his hand on his chin.

"Who knows what goes on in his damn mind. Leave him be.", Korn had said. He's also concerned about his best friend. But, there's something else he's worried about right now.

He asked what if his friends have any plans for today. They sighed and shook their head.
" I'm just gonna go and eat and study in my room for a bit. Then drift off to Dreamland ", Chang had added that dramatically.

They all laughed at that. After a quick "Goodbye, see y'all tomorrow " they parted ways.

Korn looked back and forth, right to left, to check if the road is clear. He sneakily entered the library. Going to the destined table from yesterday. He entered the secluded area with a huff, picking the same book from yesterday. He doubted that Wai would come. No there's no way his Architect rival will come.

But, wait who's that sitting on their table?? The library wasn't even crowded today, why would someone come here anyway??
A possibility hit him hard. Yes the figure is almost same- slim with plenty of muscles, the dark brown hair. Only if he could see his face. The person is turning around- and Oh...

It's Wai, definitely Wai. But Korn can't believe his eyes. Wai really came?? So that means- that means they're going to hang out another day together. Well, so much for a rivalry towards a friendship.

Wai is smiling at him, which he never did before, in a way Korn feels overwhelmed. He smiles back. He went to sit down in front of Wai.

" I thought you wouldn't come." , Korn voiced still in awe that Wai really came.

"So what if I came? You got a problem??"

"Never did I say that.", Korn sighed at Wai's remark.

" Yes, as I said earlier It was fun, and studying alone is kinda boring. My friends aren't coming here, so I thought why not? ". Wai himself doesn't understand why he have to explain this. But, he did anyway.

"Oh I see", Korn glanced at the book Wai is reading. Wai is reading a book from the class they both share. They sat in silence and kept studying.

Wai glanced at Korn, bringing another book. He seizes the opportunity to ask what's been stuck on his mind since yesterday. How did Korn know that pretty lady?

" Hey, Do you know the girl from yesterday??" , Wai finally asked.

"Uh?? What girl???" Korn was utterly confused. What girl is Wai talking about??

"Ughhh!!! Are you dumb or what??? The girl I bumped into yesterday, she asked for Architecture play audition. And I saw you waving at her". Wai took a pause, " Yesterday on the stairs "

And that was enough for Korn to understand whom is Wai talking about. Paa. He's asking about Paa. But why is he asking about Paa??
He opened his mouth to answer. Then closed it.

"Yeah, I know her. Why?? "

"Nothing. What's her name?? Who's she?? "

Korn couldn't help bursting out laughing. If only Wai knew who's Paa, how'd his reaction be?? Korn can't stop laughing as he imagines Wai's reaction. He decided to have some fun.
