Ch 5 : Exchanging IDs

3rd person's POV

Korn could swear he had a very good sleep.
He woke up early the next morning. A fresh day, huh? He sat up on his messy bed, blanket pooling around his sides. Rubbing his eyes on instinct he slumped back again on the pillow. But, the sleepiness is all gone. He remembered yesterday's incidents and a smile curved on his lips.

The absolute silence for half an hour was interrupted by his alarm ringing loudly. He got up and get dressed ready for the new day. It will be a good day, if the light breeze coming from the window is any indication.

On the way to university he met Chang and Mo and they had breakfast at the curry restaurant. Korn smiled unconsciously about  yesterday story. Two pair of sharp eyes made him aware of reality and he can actually see gears turning in their heads.

"Why are you smiling Korn?", Mo asked curiously.

" W-what? No I didn't.", Korn knows he's doomed because that was a really bad answer to Mo's question. Chang didn't say anything, he just pointed his finger at Korn raising an eyebrow skeptically. Korn thinks he has to change the subject as soon as possible because there's no way he can get out of their grasp if they dig any deeper.

"Nothing, just thinking about how we all from our gang got the chance in University Rugby team. It makes me happy. Korn pats both of his friends on the back. " I'm happy I get to play with y'all . It'll be so fun", Korn managed to change the subject just in time.

They all had a laugh and they headed towards their first class.

Korn saw Pat is early and they all looked at each other. What's up with this boy? He's early to class?? Anyway they sat down in their designated seats.

The class was great. They all turned in their assignments. At lunch Pat told them he had to go early today because he got the lead role in architecture play. As usual the engineering gang showed their super supportive cheers.

Korn is happy all the classes are over soon today. He thought he'll meet Pat before going to the library. Chang and Mo went home cause they are lazy. Korn went to the theater but Pat was nowhere to be seen.

Korn texted Pat asking where he is. The blue tick appeared in a few seconds. Pat replied that he's at the theater.

Liar. Why is Pat lying to him? Pat has never lied to him before. What's happening here. Korn thinks he have to press Pat this time about what is going on??

So he did. He texted Pat that he is at the theater and Pat should not lie. That asshole thought he can get away lying to his best friend? No way. He jokingly threatened Pat to squeeze out the truth if he doesn't tell it right away.

He knows it's not that serious. His best friend will tell him when the right time comes. He trusts his best friend with everything. They all do. Their brotherhood is no joke.

A few minutes later a ding indicates his phone got a text. He opened it and saw Pat wrote he'll be having dinner with his mom.

Korn knows Pat's family is strict. He is aware of Pat's situation. His family looks forward to Pat's victory always. Pressures Pat to be no. 1 in everything. He sighs at the thought. He writes back a quick okay to Pat.

Wai can see Pran fidgeting again. He only asked to have a drink together tonight. Why is Pran fidgeting? He doesn't understand what's going on these days with his best friend.

"Pran?? Are you okay?", he asked concerned.

Apparently his question startled Pran out of his thoughts.

" Huh? No I am alright. I don't think I can go to drink with you tonight. Sorry Wai.", Pran managed to say.

"But, you promised that you would.", Wai pressed.
