Chapter 5 - Part 1

"Hey, um I got to go." and walked past them, well that was embarrassing, at least I got creampuffs.

I was thinking about the name when I got home " Song, Song, Song...oh no" I marched to the office and grabbed the invitation list for my parents anniversary, and there it was.

The song family was invited.

Well great, the last I need right now has come, what. the. hell.
My parents have 10 minutes before they arrive, so I got a pen off of the drawer and crossed out the four names, put the paper and the pen back, put on a face that said "I so did not cross those names out, it was B/N" and just waltzed out of the room and went to my room to take a nap.

20 minutes later 

"Y/N!" shouted a masculine voice downstairs.

I woke up panicking, looking around; then realized it was my dad. "Yes, dad?" I answered. "Come here to my office". Oh wait a minute, did I close the door?

I came downstairs and went into the office, dad was holding the anniversary invite list with an impatient look on his face. "did you cross out the names on here?"

"no, must have been S/N" I lied, it is more reasonable to think that the troublemaker did it than the person who has no friends.

"But she's at the triplets," he stated.

"Okay fine, it was me." 

"But why? Do you even know these people?"

"No" 

"Then why?"

"I just don't like to have many guests over." it was the truth, but not entirely.

" Well suck it up, Ripplepuffs, they're coming anyway."

I groaned and went back to bed, two days until they come. I can just imagine it. ugh.

The next day

I woke up the next day in some weird position, come on, we all have that one position in bed that makes you sleep instantly. Don't lie.
I got out of bed and looked at the clock; 6:20 AM isn't that late at all, but why did it feel like I slept till 11 AM? Anyways, I took a shower, shoved some mints in my mouth ( I don't feel like brushing my teeth today.) Put on my uniform, and went downstairs. B/N and S/N were fighting over some toy or something, mom was making invitations and dad was nowhere to be seen.

"Mom, where's dad?" I asked.

" At work, why?" she responded.

"Oh nothing, just asking."

I went outside and held the leaping crystal towards the sun " FoxFire!"

At FoxFire

I walked around the campus, there weren't many things to do, then suddenly I felt a hand on my shoulder.

"Hey Y/N, wanna hang out with us?" the voice was coming from Tam's...girl.

"Um, who are you again?" I asked.

"Biana," she answered.

"Oh, uhhh sure I guess?"

"Great! see you at alchemy." then she left.

At Alchemy (sorry for the time skips)

I sat down at the back so Biana doesn't notice me, don't get me wrong I don't hate her, it's just that- I don't know actually. But too bad she sat next to me. Just why though? Couldn't she sit with her precious Tam? But oh well, maybe she isn't good at alchemy and needed my help. I feel like I'm whining too much, am I? I don't know, why am I overthinking about someone sitting next to me?

"Y/N?" I heard a whispery voice behind me." meet me in front of the cafeteria after school. But for now, focus." Then I saw a shadow pull away from me and go towards Tam. ...Well, I don't know what that was about.

" Hello class, today we are going to make Hush Slush, I will give you 45 minutes to work with a partner. Time starts...Now." said Lady Galvin.

Me and Biana started working on the elixir, but we were missing an ingredient.

"Y/N, could you get imp fluff from Tam please?" Biana asked.

" Why Tam, and why don't you get it? Isn't he your boyfriend or something?" It made sense.

"Just get it!" she answered. I got out of the chair and walked up to him. "Hey, could I borrow the imp fluff?" I asked. He handed some without looking at me "I'll see you later." he said.
