Chapter 2 First Day of School

*AN* Hey guys! Once again its Coco and I would like to tell you guys that I'm going to be the one uploading this series. Just wanted to let you guys know and Tofu and I have decided that we would upload every Wendsday. Just to make everything clear. The date is only a date. The uploads shall be more or less on that day. Just to clear any misunderstandings.  Here is Chapter 2! Enjoy :DD

Chapter 2 First Day of School

 Kim's POV

            Knowing that I only have 3 classes with my sister really pains her. She never separated from me before, so I know she’ll be scared. Even at our old school, we had all our classes together. Seeing Kat act this way made it really hard for me to let her go.

             “It’s okay Kat. Everything’s going to be alright. As along as I am here, nothing will happen,” I told her.

            “Okay,” said Kat.

             “Come on. Let’s find our lockers first,” I said.

            Our locker was just on the second floor. After finding our lockers, we headed off to 1st period.

         When we went in the class, Kat and I handed our schedules to our English teacher. She looked at our schedules and I saw that she wrote down our names on her roll sheet. After the teacher handed us our schedule back, we took a seat at the back of the classroom next to the windows. The bell rang signaling that it’s time for class to start and little by little, the students came in and filled the class.

           “Good morning class. My name is Ms. Daniels. You may all be wondering why I’m introducing myself in the middle of the school year and that’s because we have two new students in our class. Would you guys mind introducing yourself?” said Ms. Daniels.

             I stood up from my seat to introduce myself and my sister, knowing that she won’t talk.

       “Hi. My name is Kimberly Winters. You can call me Kim for short. This is my twin sister, Katherine Winters or, what most people call her, Kat,” I said as I pointed to the seat in front of me.

          After I sat down, a girl came and sat down next to me. She was very tall and looks around to be 5’8’’. She has strawberry blonde hair, big brown eyes and it looked like she has a model figure. She had on a plain high low white shirt with a burgundy striped cardigan and leggings. She had on a ring, some bracelets, a gold and unique necklace, and combat boots. I could tell she was a happy and cheerful girl, judging by the way how she kept bouncing up and down on her seat.

            “Hey! I’m Melody Woods. You can call me Mel. So, what do you guys think about this school so far?” Mel asked.

             “The school is pretty nice,” I replied.

            So Mel and I basically talked for the whole period, while Ms. Daniels was lecturing the class. She tried to bring Kat into the conversation most of the time, seeing that she didn’t talk much, but failed to do so. I can tell she wanted to befriend Kat, but Kat just ignored her.

            After class, I walked Kat to her 2nd period. When I knew she was good to go, I left and went to look for my class. When I got there, I found Mel already in her seat and as if she was expecting me, looked up and pointed at an empty seat behind her in the corner.

            “Why doesn’t your sister talk?” Mel asked as she turned around to face me as the teacher was lecturing about math.

             “She’s very shy and unsociable, so it makes very hard for her to communicate with people. The only person she would talk to is me,” I said.

             “Oh. Tell her that I will do what it takes to warm up to her and I will be her first friend!” said Mel happily.

             “Okay.” I said.

             With that, the period was over. Time flew by really fast and it was finally lunch time. I only had three classes with Kat and we just had 2 classes together. In second period, I was so worried about her. “What if some random guy talks to her? What if she is being bullied?” These thoughts haunted me for an hour.

            The only good thing was that I kind of made a new friend, Mel. We both have Math with each other. I found out that we had a lot in common and she also was a good girl; Mel also had a lot of similarities with Kat. They would be better friends with each other than Mel and me.

            When Kat and I went into the cafeteria, I saw Mel wave at us. I took Kat to Mel’s lunch area.

            “She is a nice girl. I couldn’t sense any danger from her. Don’t worry, I’m always here,” I reassured her.

            “Alright,” she responded.

            “Hey Kim. Hi Kat!” she said grinning at Kat.

            I felt Kat’s uncertainty and hesitation so I spoke up. “Hey. It’s alright. You remember Mel from 1st period. Remember?” I pointed at the smiling Mel.

            Kat flinched. “Hehe. Don’t worry. I won’t bite. I heard some stuff about you from your sister and I can tell that she really cares for you.” Mel said lovingly.

            Kat blushed at her comment. I looked at her and saw that she was as red as a tomato. Mel laughed. “You’re right Kim! Your sister is so adorable,” Kat's blush turned to an even darker shade of red which I didn’t think was possible. “Ahem.” I looked at the girl next to Mel.

            She was pretty and you could tell she was petite compared to us three. She had long, blonde hair with turquoise eyes. Even if she was small, she had that hourglass shape for her body. She wore a mint color long sleeved shirt with a bit of polka dots. She completed the outfit by wearing pale pink jeans along with nude colored flats.

            “Hi. I’m Tracy and Mel’s best friend. There are only us in our group though,” She smiled. “It’s nice to meet you. If you need anything, just ring one of us.”

            “Thanks,” I responded to her. Throughout lunch, we all talked. It was nice to see Kat relax a bit. I could see that she wants to try to warm up to them. Although they seem cool and chill, I could sense their power. They had alpha blood in them; I could tell. Also, you could kind of tell they had power or was related to someone who has power because I caught some glares from really big guys.

            In our old pack, I was one of the strongest fighters. In order for Tyler to leave Kat alone, I had to fight for him. Before we left, I taught Kat how to mask her scent so we could live our new lives as humans. If we were humans, no werewolf would talk to us. It was also good because now, no one can locate us.

            Every night I worry about our safety. Every night when I know Kat’s asleep, I would go into the woods to make sure no one followed us. I have to ensure our safety. Kat cannot find out; she cannot find out the truth. She must not know it.
