Lilura stepped out of the warm shower, clouds of steam following them. Hickeys covered their skin from his recent nights with Mello and she almost despised how the mirror reflected them.
They pulled on a turtleneck and skirt, with tights and knee-high boots, putting on a black and white flannel then a leather coat over the turtleneck. Brushing his shortish-longish hair and going to work.
Whats the point? They wondered, her steps speeding up until a brisk walk. "Heading to work?" A head bobbed out of the crowd of people, white hair pulled into a rats tail, wide wondering eyes. Near.
"Hello," Lilura mumbled. "Yeah, I am,"
"I am as well, I suppose we could walk together," Near offered his had, Lilura gawked at the hand awkwardly before taking it, shovering their intwined hands into her pocket.
"Lilura, you're aware of my feelings right?"
"Uh, yeah,"
"Then why do you seem so suprised by my romantic advances?" Near asked with a hum.
"Well, people- don't usually act so sweet, I'm not used to it,"
"Let's get used to it together," Near squeezed Liluras hand, they nodded with a smile.
Entering the building they were immeditely met with the terrifying sight of Light on the ground Akihiro seeming frustrated and confused. Not knowing if to help or not.
Misa was hiding in Jun's chest and Jun was looking down, her face hidden in Misas hair but her eyes were dark and terrifying, people were trying to save Light from the heart attack.
Kira had gotten him.
The day flew by in slow motion, Light Yagami was dead.
The office emptied, Akihiro grabbed Misas arm. "Misa I-" He glanced at Jun.
"She knows," Misa mumbled. "I killed Light," She swallowed hard. "I don't want the book anymore- I wanna be happy with Jun and live a normal life!"
"...I don't know what to do," Akihiro sighed, he heard a soft chuckle and heard the heavy footsteps, the large lumbering rabbit shinigami stood behind him.
"C'monnn, so what? You went through a few boyfriends, big deal! Akihiro we have power! Don't let it go!" Lapin grinned, it was terrifying.
"Hiro, come on, it's not too late-" Misa put a hand on Akihiros shoulder.
"You should really be careful with having your full name so pubically known, Misa," Akihiro shoved her hand off.
Light may have died but- Kira will live on.
