You're in the living room, listening to songs you've downloaded on your Spotify app.

"Where is Kai?" Irene asks.

You tear your gaze off the screen of your phone and look at your wife. "I just tucked him in."

"He was looking for you all day long," she informs you.

You put your phone down and take a deep breath. "You know that I was at work, right?"

"Oh, I know. Still. A phone call to your son won't hurt, you know? He misses having you around. You're barely home and he always feels like hanging out with you."

"Let's take him out this weekend," you say in a resigned voice.

She takes note of the unpleasant tone. "I'm sorry, was that just forced out of you?" she shoots back at you sharply.

"No," you immediately answer in defense. "I'm sorry. I'm just very tired right now, Joohyun. It won't happen again."

She closes her eyes and takes a long, deep breath; you instantly know that she is desperately trying to control her temper.

"I'm sorry," she tells you when she opens her eyes. "I'm sorry I keep snapping at you."

You can't help but chuckle. If only she knew, you think to yourself. I have a lot more to apologize for.

You watch as she pours two glasses of wine; she gracefully walks to you and hands you the other glass, then she sits next to you on the couch.

You marvel at her exquisite face: her dark orbs, long lashes, perfectly pointed nose, thin lips and her chiseled jaws. She takes a sip of her wine and you can't help but feel amazed at how sexy she looks just by doing it.

"You're staring," she remarks, snapping you out of your thoughts.

"You haven't aged," you tell her.

She gives you a small smile and shakes her head at you. "You obviously haven't been paying attention to me."

"No, I have. And I am telling you what I see, Joohyun." You look deep into her eyes. "You still look as lovely as the day I met you."

Irene lets out a low chuckle as the background music transitions from one song to another.

"What?" you ask.

"We danced to this song," she replies simply.

"At our wedding?" You frown as you think deep. You don't recall this song being played on your wedding day.

She shakes her head. "No. On our fifth date."

And suddenly, the memories come rushing through the surface: the fifth date. The date.

It was a cold night. You were feeling tired that night but you drove just to see Irene. She called you, crying because she felt so exhausted and she hadn't rested in weeks because of Red Velvet's schedule. She said she felt like her body was falling apart.

You found her sitting on one of the benches by Han River, looking up at the night sky. At that point, you were so used to seeing Irene; but on that cold starry night, you finally saw Bae Joohyun for the first time.

"You look lonely," you said as you approached her. You opened two cans of beer and handed her the other one.

"It took you so long to find me," she retorted, taking the can from you.

"I had to stop by a nearby convenience store to buy beer." You sat on the empty space next to the beautiful woman. "It's a crime if you don't drink beer by the Han River, you know?"
