Y/N's POV

It's been years, I'm sure. Tapped on a Glara ship, beaten for entertainment. I have a scar over my face which goes across my eye unfortunately leaving me blind in that one eye. Every day I pray for escape, whether it's freedom or death but nothing ever comes, I'm trapped forever.

Today was no different, I was taken to the ring and beaten about again, like every day before but this time I was severely injured, to the point of coughed up blood. The torture finally ended and I was thrown back into my cell where I huddled myself into a ball and cried again hoping for some kind of escape.

It seemed like today my prayers were answered, for a sudden blast hit the ship rocking it, this happened again and again, the blasts weakened me more and I blacked out.

~Keith's POV~

I ran aimlessly around the Galra ship hoping to find the cells soon. I turned a corner and was ambushed by a group of soldiers, I fought them off and found exactly what I was looking for.

I ran though each cell, unlocking them freeing the prisoners.

"Make your way to the pods, the area should be clear." I tell them as I open each door. I open the last one but the occupant doesn't move, I go to check them. It's a girl, laying in a pool of her own blood unconscious. I pick her up and head back to my lion. "Just hold on." I mutter to her as I take the controls.

I get back into the castle where the others are waiting for me, I simply push past them and head for the healing pods. I can hear my name being yelled behind me, but that won't stop me, I need to save her life.

I place her in a healing pod as the others come running in. "Keith, what the hell happened?" Lance pants out of breath.

"I had to save her." I say, my hand on the glass on the pod. I look at her face, she has a brownish kind of colour for hair, she also has a scar across her face crossing over her eye. Pidge moves next to me, he falls to the floor and starts sobbing. I crouch next to him. "Pidge, what's wrong?" I ask

"You saved her, I thought I'd never see her again." He sobs.

"What?" I'm confused.

"She's my sister, I've been searching for her, my brother and my dad. Thank you Keith." He pulls he into a slight hug, which I return.

"Okay paladins, we should get some rest." Shiro tells us, I want to stay and keep an eye on the girl but I walk out with the others.

~At night~

I can't sleep so I get up slowly and creep to the healing pods. I sit and make sure the girl of okay.

Some time passes and I end up falling asleep, waking up to a hissing sound and a thud infront of me. I look up to see the girl on the floor and awake.

"Oh god, are you alright?" I ask, helping her up.

"Where am I? Who are you?" She asks.

"Easy, I'm Keith, your in a ship that's far away from Zarkon, he can't hurt you no more." I sooth her.

"No, I've got to go." She tries to walk but stumbles, I manage to catch her.

" you need to rest and why have you got to go?"

"I need to find my family." She struggles in my arms.

"Okay if you let me help you walk, I can help you a bit."

"What do you mean?"

"Let me show you." I lead her out of the room and to the main controls room.

"Hey guys, look who's up."
