Lucia's POV:

Several weeks later

I could hear my brothers frustration all the way up from my room trying to focus on a new art piece.

His voice grew louder and louder with each question and by the way his anger surrounds the house, he's not getting the answers he want.

I roll my eyes figuring out that I wouldn't be able to get any work done with all the noise, even with my headphones plugged inside my ears, it was hopeless.

I packed up all my paints and brushes and hid them on the highest shelf afraid that mason would find them and ruin yet another painting or sketch.

Closing the door behind me, I began descending down the stairs where a little boy was running around the foyer while his father continuously fought through the phone.

"Don't bullshit me!" Donatello yelled on the other side. "You knew exactly what you were doing"

"I want you on the next flight here do you hear me!" He spat.

I knew he was mad but I wouldn't have expected it to be this bad.

The house turned quiet for a moment waiting for a response. I couldn't help but lurk on his phone call deciding it would be best to remain hidden near the the flower pot that stood centre on the small table.

A few seconds had flown by before my brother decided to speak again "I don't care Antonio, you have a day to get here" and ended the call.

My body stiffened at the name. A name I hadn't heard in a while. A name that had me crying for days after he had left five years ago.

But why was his name brought up all of a sudden.

Donatello turned around taking a long sigh until he noticed the figure standing behind him, his posture slightly straightening.

"Hello Lucia" he mumbled before moving his legs towards the stair case.

I took a single breath turning to look at my brother "is he coming here?" I answered but my voice seemed to sound worried or scared or was it excitement?

Donatello didn't answer straight away instead he stared in my blue eyes, the same colour as his.

"Yes" was all he said just as he left up the stairs.

'Yes' repeated in my mind. 'Yes'. My heart sped at that small response. 'Antonio is coming here'.

'Yes'.

I hid myself in my bedroom for the remainder of the day trying to consume my thoughts. The thoughts that always remained on Antonio.

I wanted to go to Donatello and ask him why? Why would he invite him into our home when he had kicked him out of our life's all those years ago.

But I knew my brother wouldn't talk to me. He never told me what his plans were or why he did something for a reason and it pissed me off.

A sudden knock appeared from the door  and my body instantly shot up to invite the visitor that stood behind.

Aleena stood at the threshold holding her seven month old daughter in her arms.

I moved to make way for her allowing her inside before I closed the door on both on us.

"Is everything alright" Aleena frowned rocking the Emilia from side to side trying to get her eyes to finally shut.

I gave her a tentative smile sitting besides her on my bed "of course, why wouldn't It be?"

"Donatello told me" she said " you can tell me anything you know"

Giving her another grin "I know. Really everything's fine"

She patted my hand for comfort getting up from my bed, putting Emilia down on my bed, she moved towards the cupboard where she opened it up examining each dress.

"What are you doing?" I asked confused.

"He'll be here soon" she said "we have to make a good impression on our guest" grinning a cat like smile.

Pulling out a red dress that was a bit too revealing for a dinner party, Aleena walked my way pulling me up from the bed to check how the dress would look.

"Perfect" she grinned.

It was exactly 9:32pm when a knock from the front door echoed the house.

I knew this because I was staring at the old grandfather clock in the living room watching each hand move whilst my hands gripped my dress impatiently waiting.

My heart jumped an extra jump as I heard the low mumbles coming from the foyer moving closer and closer to where me and Aleena sat.

"You need to stop shaking" Aleena whispered in my ear.

I couldn't help it. I was so damned nervous I felt the bile rise in my throat from the fear that coated my skin.

Aleena stood up wrapping her hands around mine as she saw my brother walk in first.

He showed nothing on his face. It was completely blank but I saw the small jump in his jaw.

"Aleena you remember Antonio" he spoke to his wife.

Just as his name left Donatello's mouth, he walked inside the living and I swear I felt my heart plummet to the floor.

He looked different.

Too different.

Antonio no longer had a long smile when he was introduced to someone. Instead he face looked dead.

He longer had his thick curls that rested on top his perfect face. Instead he had buzz cut, it still looked good. His caramel skin no longer glowed and his golden eyes looked hollow.

"And you already know Lucia" Donatello announcement bringing me back from my thoughts.

"Hello... Antonio" I said his name as fast as I could trying to avoid his eyes, but it wasn't like he was staring.

His eyes were concentrated on the wall behind me.

"Hello" was all he said returning his attention back to Donatello.

My shoulders slumped to my sides. I was hoping for a better response. But that's when it finally clicked.

This wasn't going to be the same as last time.

And with that thought in my mind, the spark that I had saved for him instantly died.
