Paper rings ~ Dodge Mason

Everybodys scared of something...

"Paige! Paige! wake up!" Grey and Crew shook Paige awake.
"What???" Paige woke up.
"Crews all better!" Grey said.
"That's great." Paige put her hand on Crew's cheek and smiled.
"Can we do something to celebrate!" Crew asked.
"Yeah, what do you wanna do?" Paige asked, getting up and going through her dresser.
"What about that restaurant that Heather took me to?" Grey suggested.
"Ok. sounds good. I need to go to Natalie's house before that but you guys can wait in the Bishop's car for that." Paige said.
"Ok!" Grey said.
"Sounds good!" Crew agreed.
"Great. Go watch some tv while i'll get ready and Crew you have to get changed!" Page said.
"Why can't i just wear this?" he asked.
"Because it's pajama pants and a dirty white shirt with a firetruck rob on." Paige chuckled.
"Whatever." Crew walked to his room.

"she's still your best friend." Bishop said to Heather as we pulled up to her house.
"Yeah, i cant have both my best friends fighting!" Paige said.
As all three of them walked up to Natalie Paige could feel the tension right away.
"Alright some ground rules, no cursing, spitting, hitting, or crying because i think i ran out of tissues." Bishop said.
"Can you just...give us a minute?" Heather asked.
"Absolutely!" Paige said.
"Yeah, Happily!" Bishop said.
Paige walked back to the car where Crew and Grey was to make sure they were fine.
"Hey Paige, is everything going ok?" Crew asked, climbing to the front of the car.
"Yeah everything's fine, and stay in the back with your brother!" Paige said laughing.
"Your no fun!" He said, going in the back.
Crew was sitting next to Grey, who had his head buried in his book, with his arms crossed, looking out the window.
Paige laughing at the look of her two opposite brothers. When she looked back she saw Natalie and Heather hugging and Bishop standing there.
Paige smiled, she was relieved her best friends had made up.

All four of them were now sitting at the diner eating fries while Crew and Grey were sitting at an actual table and eating burgers and fries.
Paige kept a close eye on them cause they tend to annoy anyone around them.
"Hey, keep your eyes where they belong." Bishop said to Natalie who was watching Dodge work.
"Ugh please, they are if you ask me." Natalie said.
"Ya know, Paige was looking at the exact same guy last night. Is there a competition on who gets with the new guy?" Bishop said.
"No, i barely know him. I've had like one civil conversation with him." Paige said.
"When?" Natalie asked.
"When he came over her house to see what was wrong with Crew." Heather said.
"Not just that, he stuck up for me when Ray was being a dick and then we talked a little and then my eyes landed on Heather about to commit suicide!" Paige said.
"What did you guys talk about?" Bishop asked.
"I honestly don't remember. I told him about the time in 6th grade where i had to kiss Ray in the play and then he asked if i was into theater and then I went on this whole rant about how i had to give it up for Crew and Grey." Paige explained.
"You get close with somebody way to fast." Natalie shook her head.
"I do not! He's a good listener that's all." Paige said looking back at Dodge.
"Hey, do you think that the judges know who we are, their watching us?" Heather asked.
"Of course their watching. how else are they gonna get in tell on all the players. Their probably tracking where we work, and live, and hang out, watching what we do when we think no ones watching, keeping tabs on who were with. Their studying all the players." Natalie explained.
"Jeez, way to make it creepy Nat." Paige said.
Then Ray walked in.
"What? no invitation?" He said.
"No." Heather said softly.
Ray got in between Bishop and Heather.
"We were actually just leaving." Bishop said.
"Just saying hello to the new kid." Ray said.
"Cya around, Paigey." Ray said.
"Fuck off." She spat, Grabbing her 2 brothers and following Heather, Natalie, and Bishop out of the diner.
Ray kept ringing the bell so Dodge quickly snatched it before he could ring it again.
"Can i help you with something?" Dodge asked, placing a menu in front of him.
"Yeah, go ahead and give me the fuck you. I'm here to help you." Ray said.
"Look, I know your the new guy in town, you probably hear about the games you probably heard that it was one big fucking hard-"
"Can you get to the point?" Dodge cut him off.
"The point is, Panics a local game. We made it, we run it, we keep it a secret. Strangers aren't welcome. Especially ones who like to talk to taken girls." Ray said.
"First of all, is this about Paige? because she seems to hate your guts and you guys are not dating, buddy." Dodge chuckled.
"No, Paige has a boyfriend. He won the games a few years ago and now lives a little bit out of town." Ray said.
"Back to our original conversation, all graduating seniors are eligible to play the game, right?" Dodge asked.
"Only very few are eligible to win." Ray smiled lightly.
"I was pretty eligible when i got those 25 points from the jump." Dodge said.
Ray laughed.
"I like you, yeah i do. I like a man not afraid to get his ass beat. It's gonna make it all that much sweeter when i beat his ass." Ray said, walking out.
"No wonder Paige hates that guy." Dodge said under his breath before going back to work.
"So Digins really hasn't said when the next challenge will be yet?" Heather said.
"Well don't look at me i'm not trying to be a player." Bishop said.
"Uh, guys. what's that?" Natalie pointed to the movie board.
"Typical. only a couple days from graduation and already have the letters have been moved out." Bishop said.
"Hey it's a clue." Paige said.
"Look, the missing letters spell something. G R A A R Y." Heather said.
"Granary." Paige said.
"So we know where the next challenge will be. question is" Natalie started.
"When." Heather said.
"So it looks like we're looking for a start time." Paige said.
"Maybe we'll find it at the granary." Heather said.
