Arabella...

Getting a phone call to come to this dreary town was something I was not expecting, but it was definitely wanted. Life was getting boring in Paris and what more could be exciting and entering than coming to a little town that's a hotspot for the supernatural?

I've been to this town once before now and that was five years before the Salvatore brothers was turned, I left just before Katherine Pierce came in to the town and ruined their lives. Stefan and Damon knew what I was because I trusted them with most of my secrets, but I'm glad I left when I did, because if the town found out I was more than just a vampire they'd do more than lock me under the church.

Looking up at the boarding house that I was stood in front of I let a smirk take over my face hearing them inside along with two other people who I didn't know. "Isobel's research from when you guys were at Duke together" The unknown female voice spoke. "You said that she had spent years researching this town" Stefan added before the unknown male voice spoke up. "Isobel's research here in mystic falls was rooted in folklore and legend. At the time I thought most of which was fiction"

I stepped towards the door quietly letting myself in as the female spoke up. "Aside from vampires what else?" She questioned and I knew the were all gone get a shock of their lives soon. "Lycanthrope"

Of course Damon refused to believe werewolves was real and I couldn't wait to see his face when he realised they are real and dangerous to vampires. "I've been on this planet 160-some off years, never come across one" I made a slight cough as I stood leaning against the parlour door frame. "They're real" I spoke as they all looked at me, Damon and Stefan with a smile, the unknown male and the female looked confused. I looked closer at the female and if I couldn't hear her human heartbeat I would presume it was Katherine, I did my best to hold in a laugh but it still came out so I covered it with a cough because this whole trip to Mystic Falls was getting more interesting by the second, but I don't think the Salvatore brothers realise how much trouble they're asking for for keeping company with the doppelgänger.

"Not a chance Ara. If werewolves exist where the hell are they?" Damon asked raising his eyebrows making me chuckle, he'd not believe me until he sees one himself. "Fine don't believe someone who's over 800 years old and seen them for herself" I shrugged as I walked further in to the room. "Um, sorry but who are you?" The doppelgänger asked making me chuckle. "Im a really old friend of the Salvatores" I explained not wanting to go in to too much detail about myself especially to a doppelgänger.

"What makes you suspect the Lockwoods anyway?" The man asked and I realised I still didn't bother catching his name. "Vervain didn't affect the mayor in Founders Day, the Gilbert device did, and it affected his son Tyler" Damon explained as I helped myself to a glass of whiskey. "And at the school carnival his uncle Mason exhibited inhuman behaviour where he fought one of the carnival workers" Stefan added making me sigh.

"They're werewolves. Believe me or not but I'm telling you now they're werewolves, go do your research or whatever but I'm positive I'm right" I spoke up before downing my glass of whiskey.

They still didn't believe me so Damon, the doppelgänger who I learnt was called Elena and the unknown man who was called Alaric, went to Duke to look through Elena's birth mothers research, meaning I was staying here in Mystic Falls. Stefan was off helping one of Elena's friends who was now a vampire thanks to Katherine who of course came in to town and caused a mess.

Luckily I knew what was going off in this town thanks to Damon who updated me on everything when he phoned me to come to town and help him.

Elena's birth mum who is also Alarics wife seemed Damon out as she wanted to become a vampire, she came in to town to get a device that made a noise only supernaturals could hear and in the end nearly killed Damon in a fire.

As the day rolled on I realised I'd been sat in the boarding house all afternoon and I decided to go to the Mystic Grill to drink the rest of the day away, I was bored but I wasn't going to help Stefan with a preppy newly turned teenage vampire, especially on a night of a full moon.

The bar was near enough empty and for once I wasn't going to complain I wanted a relaxing moment before I got involved in all the drama that was sure to come. I mean it was bound to happen with a doppelgänger living in this town.

I'd been at the bar for 2 hours when Damon phoned me letting me know I was right and that I could've told him that werewolf bites are lethal to vampires making me smirk because even if I did he still wouldn't of believed me. He also went on about the sun and moon curse which of course I knew about but I didn't want to admit to that.

The short story of the sun and moon curse is that 600 years ago the Aztecs were plagued by werewolves and vampires, terrorising the countryside, made farming and hunting impossible, well that was until an Aztec shaman cursed them, making vampires slaves to the sun and werewolves servants to the moon, meaning vampires could only come out at night and werewolves could only turn on a full moon. And thanks to this 'curse' vampires hunted werewolves close to extinction to protect themselves.

Of course me being over 800 years old I know for a fact the curse is a load of bull, of course there is a curse but the one people know isn't the real one, I don't even know what the real one is, but I know it's real for the simple fact there had to be a doppelgänger every 500 years for a reason.

I knew staying in this town was going to bring drama, but no matter how many times I told myself to leave there was something telling me to stay, and I never ignore my instincts.
