Lena woke up from her coma while she hums softly at how much time she lost while she was gone. She sighed softly while she sat up and looked around there were no flowers or anyone in that matter. A hospital nurse came in while she jumped softly at the sight of Lena who was finally awake.
"Miss Monore welcome back." She said looking at her vitals to make sure she was definitely okay
"Thank you." Her voice was harsh from her comatose
"You've been out for about 4 months." The nurse spoke and checked her wrist while she looked at her watch
"I don't remember who brought me here?" She looked at the nurse who was helping her
"Some guy brought you in beaten up and brusied to a pulp." She spoke softly with a light smile
"Thank you for telling me." She drapped her legs over the edge of the bed her feet touching the floor while she stood up and fell back on the bed
"Miss Monore you need to stay in bed." The nurse held her up
"I have to go, let me go please." Lena begged while she cried into the nurses arms remember what happened to her now
"No, you have to stay." She held Lena tightly
"Let me go." She begged knowing more than she should now.
"Lena?" A stranger walked in frowning softly while she looked at the door seeing Grant there while he walked over to her and smiled softly
"You have to stay okay." He looked at the nurse who blushed wildly at how good looking he was
"No I have to go." She held onto Grant now
"I got this you may go thank you." He spoke to the nurse while he rubbed the back of her head softly soothing her wolf inside her body
"I'm here and I'm not going anywhere." He looked her while she was still crying
"I know what happened and I'm sorry it happened okay those guys will be dealt with okay." He kisses her forehead softly
"Promise?" She looked into his eyes for once in her life
"Yes, I promise." He sighed falling more in love with her than before
"There isn't any flowers in my room?" She giggles softly
"I know how much you hate them so I never got any." He rubbed her cheek softly
The fact that was true with a passion she didn't mind seeing any or one. She closed her eyes and held his arm to her cheek, she hugged him tightly while he hugged her back, rubbing the small of her back. She felt a little bit better while her eyes flew back into her skull while her entire body shaked uncontrollable. She was having a seizure which didn't look great to Grant.
"I need a nurse please my girlfriend is having a seizure!!" He yelled out to anyone who would help while a nurse came in running and helped Lena while she didn't stop shaking her mouth foaming a bit while she gargled her words while all of a sudden it stopped her entire body froze on the spot while she didn't seem to be alive now, her body was lifeless. Grant gulped softly while he watched the nurse help Lena, he stood up and walked out tears brimming the corners of his eyes while he waited in the waiting room crying softly into his hand. A few months had passed since the death of his girlfriend. Grant walked over to his apartment seeing Lena's wolf dog barking at him excitedly while he knelt down and petted the dog happily.
"I know buddy I miss her too." He smiles while he stood up seeing his food bowl empty
"I bet you are starving as I am, mister." He went over to his fridge opened the freezer grabbed a chicken breast placed in the sink to defrost while he then walked over to his couch turning on the TV to watch a movie that Lena loved the most. It was a marvel movie of course. He sat back while her dog jumped on the couch and sat next to him placing his head on his lap while Grant petted him softly, when a fight scene broke out Lena's dog Yancie barked since he was there to meet them all the Avengers in their universe.
"What it is Yancie?" He watched the dog then the TV with a frown while his eyes widened unexpectedly
"Bucky." He spoke making the dog barking uncontrollable with a happy manner
"Yancie find Bucky." He smirked knowing he wouldn't find him while he grabbed his collar and leash for him to follow him while he placed the collar and leash on him and headed out while Yancie was pulling Grant towards five blocks down missing Lena's by two and stopped at one while he pointed his nose to the apartment he smelled Bucky in. Grant walked over to the intercom and saw Sebastian Stan's name and pressed it smirking.
"Hello, how can I help you?" He asked getting a bark out of Yancie
"Yeah hi I know Lena." He spoke not trying to cry at the heard it her name
There was a buzz at the door and he opened it letting Yancie go in first while he closed the door behind him making sure not to slam it. Yancie brought Grant to Sebastian door while he looked up at Grant with a dog nod. Grant knocked on the door smiling wide while his smile faded seeing the wolf dog before him.
"Come on in." He sighed softly sniffling while Grant took off the leash to Yancie's collar who went over to his couch and sat down
"Tell me how do you know Lena?" Sebastian asked him lightly giving him a water bottle
"It's a past I'd like to forget really." He sighed softly taking a sip of the water he just opened
"It's alright you are in a safe place here." Seb placed a hand on his shoulder
Grant took off his hand and looked at Yancie for a second. Seb looked at Yancie with a smile.
"I see you brought her daemon with you." Seb chuckles softly
"I have no idea what that word is." He looked around slowly seeing a picture of Lena and Seb while he looked at him
"How do you have a picture of Lena?" Grant frowned sensing something was off
"Oh right I invited her to a premier she was my plus one." Seb looked a the photo and smiled at how cute she was
"She's an amazing person." Seb smiled
"She's the best ever, how do you know Lena?" He asked again never gotten an answer back from him
"I rather not discuss it really it's in the past for me too." He rubbed the back of his neck softly while Yancie walked over to Seb and rubbed against him.
"Do you know where she is?" Seb asked Grant a serious question
"I can't say, I'm sorry." He nodded his head softly
"Her daemon is here if they are not in reach bad things will happen." Seb petted Yancie assuringly
"Are you telling me this wolf dog is connected to her soul?" He stood up straight and looked at Seb in the eyes.
"Yeah that's what a daemon is." Seb shakes his head softly
"You don't know a thing about her do you?" Seb frowned
"Apparently not, even if she commited a crime to be sent here too." He grumbled
"You are her boyfriend, that explains a lot." Seb sniffled and walked over to his drawer and handed him a small package while Grant opened the box and found the necklace he got for her as a promise
"She's not dead is she?" Sebastian asked his voice softly cracking
"She is dead." He knelt down to the ground holding the necklace he gave her a few years back
"To be fair I don't think she's dead, her daemon would of disappeared it's a part of her really." Seb didn't want to say anything but keep the wolf dog for safe keepings
"I have to go anyway." He got up off the ground and left Yancie with Sebastian while he ran to his apartment and just stayed there for a while.
"The coast is clear by the way." Sebastian yelled at the top of his lungs while Lena looked from upstairs and walked down fast jumping on off the last step while Yancie looked at Lena.
"How are you Yancie?" She asked him while he pressed his lips to her ear while he spoke to her
"I'm glad you are okay." Lena petted him
"Honestly I'm hungry." Yancie spoke up not scaring Sebastian who wrapped his arms around her waist softly
"I'm sorry, I didn't really want to discuss anything with your ex boyfriend, he seems nice really I'm surprised you faked your own death and told the nurses to just say that you are gone towards him to just be here really." Seb kissed her cheek gaining a soft him from her lips
"I know thank you for saying that too." She turned and wrapped her arms around him kissing his forehead softly
"Why did you steal that guys wallet, keys and phone?" He asked knowing what really happened several months ago, he was in on the plan all along
"I needed to pawn most of the things I steal in order to get what money I need, I stole his car keys because he didn't need it any longer even his phone too he was cheating on his wife." She shrugged while there was a knock at the door while Lena ran upstairs fast
Sebastian walked over to the door again and opened it to see Grant while Yancie was no where to be found.
"I came back for the wolf dog." He spoke softly while Yancie walked out of Sebastian room looking at Grant.
"No, I'm not going with you, I'm staying sorry." Yancie grew the stomach to speak while Sebastian wasn't phased at the talking wolf dog
"What the fuck you can talk?" Grant was shocked
"Yes the wolf can talk it's a daemon what do you expect, it's the polar opposite of Lena, but he's still shy and moodie at the same time." Sebastian snapped his fingers to get Yancie to him while he shook his head
"Fine keep the wolf." Grant grumbled and turned his back and walked away while Sebastian closed the door and looked at Yancie who left his side to be with Lena to comfort her while he walked upstairs and saw her sleeping soundly on his bed while he covered her with a blanket and kissed her temple. He walked back downstairs and made her some herbal soup her favorite. Meanwhile Grant was in his apartment pacing slowly processing what happened.
