Lena gasped awake from the nightmare that had just ending she then looked around her room then next to her, an empty bed only seeing her dog, she sighed softly and running her hands through her dog's hair softly. She sniffled softly and got out of bed her mind racing from the dream she just had, she grabbed her dream journal and wrote down what she saw in depth and then grabbed her drawing jorunal along with some pencil's to draw the faces she saw in her dream. Once she was done her phone rang making her jump slightly from her seat where she sat at, which she answered fast without looking at the caller ID.
"Hello?" She spoke softly
"Hey, is this miss Monroe?" A guys voice was behind the phone
"This is she?" She said now looking at the caller ID seeing it was just a number, which made her frown softly
"Yeah you applied to my company correct?" They spoke softly into the phone with compassion
"Yes I did and who am I speaking too?" She asked while a soft frown on her face
"The boss Logan Grafts." He said with a smirk
"Oh it's an honor to meet you sir over the phone, is this about the interview date?" She asked getting out a piece of paper to write down a date and time
"Yes it is, well are you free right now?" He asked her while she chuckles softly
"Yeah I am we can meet at a near by Cafe?" She said waiting for a response
"A cafe date it is miss Monroe, I'll send you the address if that's okay with you and you have an hour to get there okay." He said and hanged up the phone while she got a text from the same number for an address to a cafe.
She got off her chair and got dressed nicely for the weather outside, she then grabbed her purse, keys and phone again. She put on her shoes made sure her hair was neat and presentable for an interview. She ran out of her apartment and ran to her car and got in sighing softly she looked at the address and saw it was walkable from her apartment while she got out of her car again and started to walk fast to the cafe. She didn't know who she was meeting but she definitely needed a coffee for this interview anyway. She arrived at the cafe while a guy waved at her and told her to come sit. She walked over to him and sat down her hand purse now on her lap.
"You made it without a second delay, how did you do that?" He asked with a smile
"Well you picked the cafe next to my apartment, it's one block down." She sighed happily
"Well I do know where you life I just happen to be next to your apartment." He spoke looking at the menu of drinks to get for this mornings interview
"Right resumé." She wiped her sweaty palms on her pants seeing it didn't look noticable
He looked her seeing how nervous she was to just have an interview seeing how she barely had any experience in the workplace made him envy her more and how much she might have some kind of power over him. She was beautiful in his eyes and he couldn't just ignore the facts too it be stupid of him to pass this young nice lady before him.
"I'm just gonna ask you one simple question and we are good and in business really no need to be nervous, doll." He spoke with a smile reaching over and placing his hand down on the table to rensure her to stay calm as possible
"I really walked fast to get here on time." She felt embarrassed which made her cheeks turn a pinkish red
"You're here okay that's all that matters I know it's hard sometimes to get out the apartment sometimes, you're scared about what might happen to you." He looked at her in the eyes
She looked at him back and nodded lightly. Her expression changed when a waiter came up to them then back to him.
"Hello welcome to Hunley Cafe what can both get you?" The waitress asked both Lena and Logan
Logan looked at Lena to answer first while she smiled and nodded.
"I'll love to have a Chai tea Latte pleace extra foam if that's okay, also tell Hunley I said hi too I'm a usual here, he should know of course." She said with a smile
"And I'll have a Mocha Latte please." Logan spoke after Lena ordered her drink
"Okay, correct me if I'm wrong Chai and a mocha latte two extra foam right?" She asked getting it wrong
"Yes that is correct." Logan didn't mind the change really
Lena nodded her head and gave her the menu back while Logan did the same. The waitress walked away and placed in their order while she went into the back and told Hunley that Lena was outside while a person came out to see and smiled happily. Hunley walked over to their table happily. Lena saw him walk over and chuckle softly
"Hey Lena, I didn't expect to see you out today you usually stay home on Thursday's." Hunley chuckles rubbing her shoulder softly
"I'm in an interview right now." She said with a light smile
"Oh my bad I'll check in later and the drinks are on the house for my favorite customer." He pinched her cheeks softly
"That's my uncle, alright for you, I did work here too for a while." She said looking forward and started to paying attention again
"Miss Monroe, what is it that you thing this job will gain you?" He asked softly with a little tilt
Lena thought for a second while she nodded her head slowly.
"What I might gain from this job is how to be more open with other people and see what some kind of problem they might have within the system we are creating for them." She spoke not knowing if that was the right answer or not
The drinks came along and she nodded her head again to the waitress and held out her hand to the waitress while she gave her a ten dollar bill for a tip.
"Good answer." He spoke with a soft smile
Lena smiled softly and sipped her chai latte slowly.
"What brought you to Paris?" He asked her also taking a long sip from his mocha latte
"Well from all the traveling I have done in the past, it just brought me here to the place of love and I fell in love with the city and everyone around me." She spoke kindly of Paris in how she really wanted this job
"This has been a good interview so far huh?" He asked trying to make her less nervous which helped a lot
"I wouldn't say good really it's great to me how you are just asking me random question to know what it is like to work with me in this company and maybe even a model too." She didn't want to go over herself or even brag at all
"I might see what I can do about those shoots you might want to have." He nodded his head smiling and held out his hand to her
"Welcome to the team, Lena." He chuckles softly while Lena chuckles lowly and shook his hand back with a huge smile
"Come by the office when you are ready okay, no rush ever." He nodded his head and got up from his seat and left to do his job.
