A/N: We're in Alleba now guys! The map was made with Inkarnate, if you are wondering.
"Uriel, I can't find my shoes. Did you take them?"
"Hey! Where's my brush?"
"Has anyone seen a phone charger?"
"Ahh! Yvonne, leave my Lucky Charms alone!"
"Kayden, get up! You'll be late again and Mom will have your ass!"
Kayden groaned and pulled the pillow further over his head, squashing his ear as he attempted to block out the noise.
Living in a three-story house with three siblings was noisy enough. He didn't know how he'd managed back when there had been eight of them in the same house, not counting their parents.
There was always a rush to get out the door on time.
Now, as it was only him and the triplets left in the house, he'd thought it would be quieter. No. Arianna, before moving out, had always been the leader. She would keep everyone quiet, let their parents sleep, and get them out the door on time, most times even early on their walk to school.
But Arianna was 25 now with a rich fiancé to boot. Apparently, all the logistics and planning for regulating her siblings had led to her having amazing management skills. She'd moved up quickly in the business world, quickly becoming a very influential CEO of a company that made dancing shoes.
All of his older siblings, come to think of it, had jobs indirectly related to music. It made sense. As sirens, they longed to be as close as possible to music, without actually being directly linked to it.
Well, except for Kayden.
The pillow was brutally ripped away from his head and he hissed as the light blinded his eyes.
"Come on Kayden!" Yvonne was slapping him with his pillow now. "Get up!"
He pulled his eyes open, which seemed weighted and ten times heavier than they should be.
Hmm... perhaps performing at a concert until three in the morning on a Sunday wasn't the best idea after all.
He flopped out of bed, falling, quite gracefully, on his face.
Yvonne, being the lovely older sister she was, laughed at him and dropped the pillow back on his head before leaving the room.
He threw the pillow back onto his bed and dove into his closet to look for something to wear.
Everything was slightly blurred without his glasses, but he managed to pick out a dark pair of jeans and a solid-colored shirt, almost forgetting to take his pajamas off before throwing them on.
He walked around his room then, hands extended, searching for his glasses.
Sure, he could see well enough without them, but he tended to be extremely clumsy without their helpful guidance.
He finally found them on top of his closed laptop.
His enthusiasm to see almost outweighed his sense of self-preservation and he nearly poked himself in the eye as he jammed his glasses onto his face.
Now, at least, his room had defined edges.
He didn't bother to look in the mirror to check his appearance whatsoever.
