Starting the pack

(Jiro's P.O.V.)

I follow Midnight still stunned by everything that's happened. I hold Eri tightly something telling me to not let the sleeping girl go. After Midnight and Present Mic showed up I had managed to get Eri to tell me her name and some of what happened to her. To say I was pissed would be a huge understatement. If I ever see that Overhaul bastard I'm gonna pump him so full of vibrations he explodes. If green didn't kill him first. At the thought of Izuku all I can see is how hurt he was and I feel my eyes misting up again. I feel Midnight rub her hand on my back and I look up to see her smiling softly at me. "It'll be OK Jiro. Midoriya is too tough and stubborn to be done in by something like this. Now why don't you take this little angel to see Recovery Girl and get both of you checked out hmm? I've already called her to let her know you're on your way. I'll go explain things to your class so they don't bombard you with questions alright." Midnight gives me another hug having dropped her usual seductive act to focus on comforting me. I hug her back with my free arm inwardly grateful for her words. As we break from the hug I notice we have indeed reached U.A.

I watch as Midnight heads towards the dorms before I turn and head into the school heading towards Recovery Girl's office. After a minute I reach the door to her office. After readjusting Eri a bit I reach up and knock. After a few moments Recovery Girl opens the door and steps to the side to let me in a soft smile on her face. "Come in deary. Midnight already called and filled me in on things. Let's get you two checked out so you can go rest and recover from this whole ordeal." I nod and walk in sitting on one of the beds still holding Eri.

I sit there quiet and lost in thought as Recovery Girl looks both me and Eri over drawing a bit of blood from Eri running some tests. She of course spends far more time looking over Eri. I'm pulled out of my thoughts as she starts to remove the bandages around Eri's arms and legs. I hold the poor girl even tighter my eyes roaming over the scars covering the poor girls arms and legs. I push down the anger I feel at the sight and vow to help protect her from then on. I finally speak as Recovery Girl starts rewrapping Eri's arms and legs with fresh clean bandages. "Is she ok? That was a stupid question. Of course she isn't."

Recovery Girl chuckles softly. "I understand what you meant deary. I can't speak for her mental health especially with her being asleep. She is malnourished and is suffering from some vitamin deficiencies from the tests I've run. Both easy enough to fix. A proper diet and a few supplements and she'll recover soon enough. We'll have to check her mental health once she's awake and had some time to adjust." Recovery Girl looks down at her phone as she gets a message and after reading it she smiles a little. "That was Nezu. Apparently Midoriya woke up for a few minutes shortly after arriving at the hospital. The first thing he was worried about was you two. According to Nezu his first words once he noticed Nezu were Alpha. Mate and chick safe? Once Nezu confirmed you two were safe Midoriya promptly passed out again." I blush bright red hearing that Izuku called me his mate. Recovery Girl laughs softly at my response before continuing. "Nezu wishes to know if you would be willing to help look after little Eri until Midoriya gets out of the hospital. He confirmed from Midoriya's words that he has claimed little Eri as his own child through pack laws. The teachers of course will help you if you accept. He seems to think she will stick to you since you were one of the people who saved her alongside Midoriya. He thinks this because Mic passed along what she told you about what happened to her."

I think about it for a second before I nod. "Of course. Eri's gone through enough already. If I can help stop more shit from happening to her I will."

Recovery Girl nods and sends a reply to Nezu. "Nezu said you'd probably say that and has already sent a message to Midnight to explain the situation to your classmates. You are good to go. Why don't you and Eri head to your dorm and rest. I'll have someone come get you if anything else comes up from Eri's tests." I nod and thank Recovery Girl. As I'm headed back to the dorms carrying the still sleeping Eri I suddenly realize how tired I am. Today went from great to very draining very quickly. I walk into the dorms and see Iida and Yaomomo keeping my other classmates back. Well atleast the more excitable ones like Mina and Hagakure. The others take a quick look my way but stay back going back to discussing whatever it is they were talking about. I shoot Yaomomo and Iida a grateful smile before I get in the elevator and head to my room.
