We've come a long way
A real long way
Not ready to look back
And see what we left
He said connect the dots
But the rest said move on
We went by the majority
And now we regret it
He said stick to your roots
But the rest said soar high

As we look over our shoulder
There's whole lotta regrets, sins & guilt
We fall on our knees
And begin to overthink
He said forget it and start anew
They just laughed and teased
For a change we ignore the majority
And now our lips spread wide up
Now as the sun goes low
And the night conquers the sky
We turn back and look at what's gone
And crave for some peace from past
Hoping for a better tomorrow
We rest on the couch
Close our eyes and smile
And let our mind rest in peace.
