My heart was pumping rapidly I could hardly keep up. My feet were moving faster then my body, it felt like they were going to snap off. But I knew if I stopped anytime soon I wouldn't be able to start again, and if I lost Jacob, I'd lose everything with Colton aswell. I wasn't ready for that.

This was it, the house was in sight and I was praying that I wouldn't trip like the stupid blonde girls in horror movies. I kept my eye out for tree roots and anything that I could possibly avoid falling harshly over. I burst through the door, and immediately rushed towards the small hatch, leading towards the basement. I stumble to the floor, fiddling with the handle, pulling it upwards with a large jolt.

I practically fell down the creaky stairs and hit the light switch so hard I swore I made a dent in the plastic exterior. All panic came flowing out of me like a tsunami when I seen what was planted firmly in front of me. Jacob, sitting delicately in the rusting chair, breathing evenly, but still quite slowly.

I went over to observe him and pressed my hand to his neck, feeling a steady heart rate. The bastard was still sedated, it was wearing off, but there was no way he was awake any time before we arrived. Was the prick playing me? Did he know I would rush like this?

'Care to explain now Dawn?' Colton's voice boomed down the staircase, my whole body shuddered, in fear of what he would do. 'That letter Colt-That Man', I trailed off, sitting roughy on the concrete floor. He cleared his throat and when I looked up he was closer, almost directly in front of me, his arms crossed and a serious frown smacked firmly on his chiseled face.

'The not! The stalker!' I spat unbalanced, I was making no sense, I knew I was, but it was the most sense I could make in a situation like this. A puzzled look gazed over Colton's face, before the realisation hit him like a ton of bricks. 'That was his note?' He asked bending down to me and reaching his hand out. I took it gracefully and stood up, a light head spin wavering over me but I quickly got over it.

I laughed in annoyance, typical boys. Typical Colton. So stubborn. 'This isn't a game, he's clearly a lot smarter then you think! He's probably watching us argue as we speak!' I rose my voice to try and prove my point. There wasn't a chance under the sun he would even acknowledge it, but it was worth a damn try.

'Dawn, he's playing mind games. He's trying to scare you, so he can have you wrapped around his little finger', he emphasised the word 'trying', and prodding me in the chest lightly. This did intimidate me, but I knew Colton would never hurt me, so I wasn't unnerved. I threw my hands up in irritation, 'there's no point in fighting! We just need to find out who it is', I sternly said to him.

'Obviously!' He slumped down on the first stair. 'Dawn, just don't worry about it okay he just-' he was cut off by a loud groan filling the room. Our bodies jolted immediately towards the source of the noise, both sets of eyes resting onto a now awake Jacob. He was still waking, yawning and stretching to and thro.

I took a step back towards Colton in fright of his reaction when he awoke properly. I stopped when my back hit against his solid figure and I stood gaping like a child at a zoo, admiring the monkeys. After a few yawns, he smacked his mouth a few times like it were dry from lack of water.

It was then he found out he weren't in the comfort of his own home. 'Where am I!' He shouted. He thrashed furiously against the chair, which was thankfully somehow connected tightly to the ground. I turned around immediately and gripped onto Colton like a little girl. 'Dawn', he laughed as a was tightly around his waist. I wasn't letting go anytime soon either.

'Later babe', he chuckled unpeeling my hands from his hips and pushing me forwards to my 'victim'. I dug my heels into the ground in hope it would slow him down or better yet stop him. But this was Colton, and I stood no chance whatsoever against him. 'No', I whined and he let go of me and turned me around roughly. 'You're a vampire Dawn, act like one'. His tone was sharp, harsh even but i knew it was for the best.
