I woke up to see an empty couch with folded blankets on the end. I sat up from my bed and rubbed my head. I took a double look at the couch and my eyes widened when I thought of it. Where's Colton?

I stood up and pushed my short hair behind my ears pacing around the room for any sign of where he went. I can't believe he freaking left me! What the hell?

Last night just before I went to sleep he told me he was sorry for everything. Everything that's happened and will happen. I didn't and still don't understand that, at all. But, I know I'll find out sooner or later.

I continued my search around my cramped apartment checking every place he could possibly be. I finally gave up and slumped down on my small couch. I rubbed my eyes and opened the curtains, letting in the cold air.

I squinted in preparation for the bright light coming my way, but the only shine came from the full moon and the stars thrown here and there. I dropped my shoulders in relief and stood at the window admiring the dark sky.

Night time was the best time.

I opened the window slightly and felt the breeze hit my face. My light brown hair flickered around behind me and I could feel the weight lifted off my shoulders. I smiled and my eyes wondered the scene above me, I smiled as a shooting star came into view.

I closed my mysterious eyes tight and crossed my fingers. I wish, that I'll be able to see my dad no matter what. My head cursed at me instantly. You idiot Dawn. You can't see the dead.

I winced at that thought. Shut up. I whispered to myself and my hand slipped down my leg onto the top of my thigh. I slowly pinched myself and bit my lip to hold back the pain.

'What are you doing?' I heard a male voice call from behind me. I jumped up quickly and let go of my leg in the process. I tried to speak but all that came out was a stuttering mess. He chuckled to himself and ruffled his hair.

'Get your stuff and let's go,' he motioned towards my suitcase. I nodded and continued over and placed the last thing into it. My broken, old, now squashed suitcase filled with my short expense of spare cash.

'Why are you taking your misunderstood piggy bank?' Colton asked me and I flinched at the calmness in his voice. 'It means a lot to me,' I mumbled quietly. Clearly hurt from his careless expression. 'Explain later.' He said picking up his packet of cigeratte's. I'm going to avoid that conversation as much as I can.

'It's time to meet your maker,' he said opening my apartment door to reveal the nifty car in my view. It was a 69' Camaro, the light blue paint shone in the moonlight. I gasped and walked over tenderly feeling the smooth paint job, it appeared brand new. The chrome bumper shimmered and I was in love with this car.

'Like it?' Colton smirked and picked up my suitcase. 'I-I love it, is it yours?' I asked following closely behind him. 'Well, duh.' He smirked and opened the passenger door. He motioned for me to get inside, and I wasn't sure if I was even good enough for this luscious vehicle.

'Go on, slow poke.' He pinched my cheek and I felt my face go red. I sat down on the leather black seats and smiled internally. The interior was decorated black and blue and was set in and 80's vibe. I admired the small zombie action figure hanging from the rearview mirror, but refused to touch it.

'Ready?' He smiled flicking the light switch off so it was completely dark. He turned the key in ignition and the car lit up like a Christmas tree. I gasped in amusement as tiny, blue lights flickered off and on inside the car. There was definitely alot of detail put in to this.

'So, where are we going?' I asked after snapping out of my desire phase. 'We are,' he trailed off stopping at a red sign. 'Going to Pennsylvania.' He finished with a smile plastered on his face. 'Like where the vampires are Huh?' I asked chuckling at my stupidity. He squirmed in his beautiful seat and threw a fake laugh at me. 'Something like that.'
