Go check out my new book 'Never ending us' please! I'm really excited to write it!

It's been a year.

A year since I've seen her for the last time.

Today I was going to her house. knew it was way too late, I knew that. But I couldn't stand the hole in my heart, mind and soul. I knew I fucked up so badly, but it took me a long time to figure out what to do. I'm not romantic, I'm not good at writing, hell I suck at it, and nothing good came to mind. I actually was planning on answering her. But I couldn't.

It was her brother.

Me and him go a long way back. Of course,  he attended the same school as me and Caitlyn. He was a lot older, so he didn't actually take classes, but he helped everywhere he could. Which included his little sister. He always knew she had a thing for me, but he would never ever let that happen. He was one of the only people who actually hated me. It sounded stupid but it was true.

And of course there was management. They wouldn't let me text her or anything. They said I'd get distracted. And I was too shitty to go against them.

Now, we have dumped management. We should have done that earlier, though.

So I was on my way to her. It was a pretty long flight, but I couldn't wait to see her.

I walked through her street. It was summer, people were walking with their dogs, kids were messing around, the boys were trying to impress the girls. Oh those glory days.

I buyed a little ring. The boys called it a promise ring, but it makes me look soft so it's a ring. A ring which I promise her I'll never leave her again. It's a silver ring, with a little bow with tiny diamonds. It wasn't the most expensive, but it reminded me of her. Tiny, sensitive, cute, but made of diamonds.

When I finally arrived at her house, I got nervous. What was I going to say? I didn't think this whole thing through.

I could say: "Hi, sorry for ignoring you for a year but I'm back now!" I don't think she'll like that very much.

I walked up the path that led to her door, took a deep breath and rang the doorbell.

The door opened and a brown headed girl  stepped forward. "I know right!" She was on the phone. "Uh, hello?" She looked up at me. And froze immediately. "Gotta go Jess, I'll call you later."

"Harry?"

"Cait." Her eyes where even more beautiful than I remembered. "Hi." I smiled at her.

"What are you doing here?"

"I missed you. I'm here to apologize."

She sighed. "You're a year too late Harry." I wanted to close the door but I put my foot down. "Wait, please let me explain."

"Harry just-"

"Whose that, babe?" Someone stepped behind her. He put a hand on her hip. I had to hold myself from pushing him away. I took a deep breath to hold myself in. "Ey, aren't you that Harry guy? From that gay band?" He chuckled at his oh so funny joke which I've heard too many times to even bother to react to. "What are you doing here? Is he bothering you, Cait?"

She shook her head. "Don't fucking call her Cait. She's my Cait." I growled at him. "The fuck you saying mate, she's my girlfriend.

Caitlyn just stood there, like a scared puppy. "What?" She swallowed.

"Caitlyn fucking speak."

"I er..- He's my boyfriend. Yeah."

"Fucking great. That's fucking amazing. Wow. Great. Yes." I let the ring box fall, and walked away while cursing the whole way to my car.
