Chapter 2

We had so much fun with them. We played at the fun house. Before leaving, we dropped by in an accessory shop to buy them some hair bows.

"Hey Celes" I approached her.

She went near me with full of curiosity, "Why po?"

"Do you want this? it's pretty naman.." I showed her the cute clip that I'm holding

"Sige po." She smiled at me which I reciprocated. While putting the clip on her hair, I took a small hair and yes, she didn't notice.

"It looks good on you!" I complimented. She just widened her smile. I love her pretty smile!

-fast forward-

Greggy and I are just talking for somethings that had happened earlier before sleeping.

"Let's give this to the dna tester tomorrow" I seriously said while showing him the hair that I got

he was shocked, as I expected. "What? whose hair is that?" he asked.

"The cute girl. Celestine."

"Well, are you sure we'll do this?"

"I'm sure, I have different feeling eh..and isa pa, we have nothing to lose if we try.." I didn't finish what I wanted to say because my phone rang

It's manang Imee, "Hi ading, kamusta?"

"We attended morning mass earlier then I accidentally saw this girl that looks like us, manang. I feel like nilapit sya ng diyos sa amin nang kusa. Although i'm not yet sure if it's totally my daughter. But ate, magaan yung loob ko sa kanya. I feel so comfortable when I talk to her, that's why we'll go to geneticist tomorrow.."

"We didn't find any information here, Do you want to stop the operation first until the results are out? baka naghahanap tayo ng anak mo pero nahanap mo na pala."

"Sure, manang. It's okay for me."

"Can you tell me about the girl?"

"Ate she's so sweet, her voice is so angelic and parang kaboses ko.."

"maybe it's just coincidence—

"If only you saw her like I did earlier, manang. You'll know why I told you that she's probably my daughter."

"Well then only the DNA results are your only hope for that girl, ading."

After the call with manang, we decided to sleep na.

-next day-

After having breakfast. We immediately went to the geneticist. I'm so nervous the whole ride.

We got there and the line was not so long. We've been waiting for 10 minutes and then it's finally our turn.

"Good morning Mrs.Araneta"

"Good morning Dra." I greeted back and smiled but still nervous.

"Please, take a sit" She said. We both sat. I gave her Celestine's hair, mine and Greggy's hair.

"The results could be out after three days, the payment can be that day too or you can give it na, it's your choice." She said smiling. Greggy paid already so there will be no hassle when the results are out.

It's already 9:15 and Celestine's recess time is after 15 minutes. I asked her friends about it. I wanna give her food kasi..

"What should we buy hon?" I asked while looking at the different food stalls that are lined up.

I'm not actually okay with these kinds of food but considering that she's a 12-years-old girl, I think these are the foods that she probably likes.

"Fries? it's yummy naman and uhm siguro she wants milktea or mango float?" he suggested. Sounds good!
