Chapter 4

Pagkauwi ko pa lang sa bahay ay sermon na kagad ang nakuha ko, "tinawagan ko yung mama ni Shayne kung kumain ka na kahapon pero wala ka daw dun!" sigaw n'ya sakin.

Hindi ko na lang inintindi at pumasok sa kwarto. Bago pa 'ko makapasok ay nahila na n'ya ko.

Her hands were about to hurt me, pero di nya nagawa kasi may humarang. "Don't you dare hurt my daughter." I looked at it and it's mommy, my hero!

Mama laughed, "Nababaliw ka na ba? anak ko yan tas inaangkin mo! jusko"

"Oh really? Celestine, anak di mo naman sinabing joker pala 'tong nag-ampon sayo." Mommy said, and chuckled. She's smirking while staring at me. She's like a mafia boss!

Then a police came inside, "You're under arrest, for abusing Celestine, in Republic Act 7610: Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act."

"W-what? celestine tulungan mo ko! h-hindi ko naman sinasadyang sigaw sigawan s'ya—

"Do you think shouting at her didn't gave her trauma? I saw bruises and her lips was bleeding before, you slapped her really hard daw—

"M-mommy h'wag na po please?" Pagmamakaawa ko kay mommy.

"Celestine? anak she abused you! pinahirapan ka nya, na-trauma ka dahil sa kanya, why are you defending her?!"

"Mom naman, I know that she did that to me but can't you see her other side? mommy she raised me for almost thirteen years! naging mabait din sya sakin ma, so please iatras nyo na 'to para matahimik na!"

"H'Wag na wag nyong kukunin sakin si Celestine! wala kayong patunay na pinaampon nyo sya sakin."

Daddy handed the papers to mommy and almost slapped it to Mama, "these are the papers, isaksak mo sa baga mo!" Mommy shouted, she's really mad..

Mama was too stunned to speak, it's only us here in the house. Then they suddenly came, all of them, only mama and papa knows the truth.

"What's going on?" My aunt, Vina asked. We looked at her with the other family members.

No one spoke but then mommy did, "I'm Irene, and i'm here to get my daughter—

They all looked confuse. "Sinong anak mo dito? we're not joking here, hm? by the way, Celes I bought you some clothes." It's my tita Sienna. She doesn't have a baby, that's why she spoils me.

She's about to hand it to me but mommy threw it, "She don't need those clothes that comes from you, I can buy her gazillion branded clothes." mommy said with her dominant voice.

"Tama na please? wag na kayong magsagutan pa. Nakaka sakit na sa tenga! ako na mageexplain para tumahimik na kayo, kasi literal na nakakarindi na kayo. Para kayong mga bata na nagaaway. Ampon ako, ganun lang kadali, kukunin na ko ng mommy  ko—

"So iiwan mo kami? babalik ka sa nanay mong pinamigay ka? kala ko ba matalino kang bata?"

"Tita, I miss them already. Ilang taon nyo na kong nakasama, oras na para ibalik nyo ko sa kanila. I'm sorry." lumapit ako sa mga pinsan ko para yakapin sila.

"Ate, don't leave us please!" My cousin, Vee pleaded. We're very close, she's my favorite cousin but I can't do what she's saying.

"Sorry." That's all i can say, I keep apologizing to them.

Mom also apologized. They apologized to each other when they calm themselves already.

I don't want naman to leave them in a bad way or not in good terms. I grew up with them. They're still a part of my life.
