The New Job (Percy Jackson / Harry Potter Fanfiction)

Chapter 1

3rd Person POV

The war with Voldemort was over. The Order members were sitting at the 12, Grimmauld Place. In one corner was Albus Dumbledore, The Headmaster of Hogwarts. In the opposite was Harry Potter, the boy who lived.

There was an uncomfortable silence at the room. The tension was very heavy. Finally Sirius Black decided to break the silence.

"Dumbledore, why did you call this meeting? And why the children should listen to this?"

Dumbledore's answer was unexpected. "Before Tom Riddle turned into the Dark Lord he had an affair with a muggle. Her name was Estelle Jackson. And a baby was born"

He waited a minute dramatically. "The baby's name was Sally Jackson." Everyone in the room except for Harry, Hermione and Ron gasped at the name. The first one to speak was Remus Lupin.

"As in the Hufflepuff witch Sally Jackson?" Dumbledore just nodded.

"As in our friend Sally Jackson?"

"However after she left Hogwarts, her magical powers began to fade. And she became a squib"

"Dumbledore, is that even possible?" Minerva McGonagall asked. Dumbledore shrugged. "I don't know"

Dumbledore began to speak again "However a baby was born to Sally with an unknown father. The baby's name was Perseus Jackson"

McGonagall and Severus Snape choked on their water. "Percy Jackson you say?" McGonagall asked. Dumbledore nodded again. All the others were confused.

Snape titled his head. "Do you know about Percy's father?" "Yes, I am well aware. However I am not permitted to tell any others."

Then McGonagall spoke in Greek. "As in Son of the Sea?"

Dumbledore's eyes widened. "Yes. Are you his kind?"

"We are Descendants." Both spoke together.

Then Dumbledore switched to Greek. "I am a descendant of Hecate"

"I am a Descendant of Athena" McGonagall said.

"I am a Descendant of Nemesis" Snape said. Then there was silence.

Suddenly Lupin broke the silence. "Care to explain us?"

"We are not permitted"

"Okay, what are we going to do with him then?" Mrs. Weasley asked. "We are going to let him teach Defense Against the Dark Arts." Dumbledore answered.

Then all the Hades broke.

"Why do we need to do that?"

"Albus, I think the boy needs a break"

"He will definitely try to kill me."

"Shut up Harry, even though he is Voldemort's grandson he was raised by his mother Sally." 

Dumbledore waited for everyone to calm down. "There are still Death Eaters who search for a new master. If we don't hurry the boy will turn into the Dark side."

Snape and McGonagall was outrageous. "Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, Do you know what is the boy's fatal flaw? Loyalty. He is the greatest hero to ever walk on earth. How dare you say he will turn into the Dark Side. How dare you!" McGonagall yelled.

There was a silence for 5 minutes. Then Dumbledore spoke "I am sorry Minerva, I haven't heard much about the boy" They both calmed down.

"Hold on, what did you say the greatest hero to ever walk on earth?" Lupin interrupted.

"Oh, it's nothing"

"However any of you are not permitted to reveal his heritage to others." Dumbledore said. The students nodded.

"I want two of you with me to tell the boy about this"

"We have to go back to Hogwarts now. We won't be able to come"

After a lot of arguing Sirius and Lupin agreed to go with Dumbledore.
