For the first time in Vegeta's entire life, he felt love, an emotion he had believed was a mortal myth between the humans on Earth. He'd heard it from Bulma plenty of times. She'd bitch and moan: "Why don't you love me?", "You're supposed to hold hands with someone you love!", "Why won't you say it back?" And if Vegeta was honest, he pities the woman now that he understands love. If Goku didn't love Vegeta back, he wouldn't know what to do. Now Vegeta is careful with his words and actions because he knows how fragile love can make someone.

Love was also a foreign emotion for Goku to process, too. Though he has always cared about his friends and family - and that care is deep - he never felt that his feelings towards any of them - especially Chi-Chi - would fall into the category of love. Love requires a strong pull towards someone, the constant need of their affection and to give back their love through their own affection, but Goku never had any of those symptoms until now.

So, because love was a new and foreign sensation for both saiyans, the two spent the past month understanding and learning what true love is. They fell into a beautiful routine that reflected each other's feelings through small actions and gestures. Together, their relationship and emotions strengthened.

Vegeta had changed so much because of it, too. He learned to reciprocate, to enjoy being a sap with his lover, so much so that he soon began to crave it. Both of them do. Both of them need and desire each other and each other alone.

Goku was also pleased to see Vegeta cutting off contact with all of his women. He finally felt complete reassurance and peace - Vegeta making sweet, sweet love with him afterwards was the icing on the cake.

Sex was another thing. The two could barely keep their hands off of each other, but neither minded. Sex always brought them both great pleasure. Because it is always passionate; full of love. And the cuddles and aftercare Vegeta gave Goku afterwards made them both feel secure. Their relationship brought a whole new meaning to, 'right place, right time.'

Joy. Pure, unadulterated joy coursed through the both of them. Goku finally understood where his life is heading and that he doesn't need Chi-Chi's authority anymore. He can discover his own path at his own pace without someone trying to make him more 'normal'.

Vegeta finally understood the strength of love and that he can't go his entire life without feeling so strongly about someone. So the prince abandoned his old morals. Abandoned the 'manly' facade he had been holding up for so goddamn long and showed affection. He'll always hug Goku, kiss him, tell him his feelings - hell, he would even lace his fingers with his lover's while in public , something he would never have done in his previous marriage. He used to be a private man, hiding his soft side and always acting cold, but now he openly exposes his emotions and feelings, showing his lover off because Vegeta is so lucky. So, so lucky to have a formidable warrior like Goku as his lover.

Bulma was the first to know about their relationship. She had noticed the two being a little fruity while strolling through the meat market, so she invited the couple over to her home to have an intervention - or so they thought. However, Bulma always had surprises up her sleeve - both good and bad...

Thankfully (and surprisingly), Bulma was completely supportive of their relationship. She fangirled over the news and insisted on certain details, but Vegeta drew the line at their sexlife for now. She was only informed about Vegeta's romantic surprise - which Bulma admitted she was jealous of while gushing about it with Goku, leaving Vegeta crimson in the face - and the extent of their feelings for each other. To put it shortly, the conversation went well until Bulma brought up one of Earth's bizarre customs...

At the oval oak table, Vegeta and Goku sat on a chair at either side with a mug of tea and coffee while Bulma stood against a kitchen counter with an unnerving smile on her face.

"So, since you're officially a couple, you need to take it to the most important level!" Bulma exclaimed with full seriousness, just like she normally does when she has a sneaky invention up her sleeve. She spun around to retrieve her laptop and placed it on the table in between the two mugs before pulling open the screen and spinning it around to show the couple. "Since you two have the luxury of owning a mobile phone and you still have your Facebook accounts I set up for you both a few years ago, you two need to become Facebook official!"

Vegeta frowned. "We're saiyans. We don't need to complete any human rituals."

"This isn't a goddamn ritual, Vegeta." Bulma scoffed at her ex-husband's ridiculousness. "You simply update your bio by adding a relationship."

Goku placed his hand on Vegeta's, teasing with a pout, "Are ya scared, Vegeta?"

"Tch!" Vegeta twitched as he tightened his grip on Goku's fingers. "Scared? Don't be silly." He stared at the laptop screen, eyeing the profile picture Goku's had on his profile for six years straight. Though, Goku does look adorable with his little peace sign in his mirror selfie - you can tell Goku didn't have a clue how to take pictures back then with the awkward way his left hand held the phone... But his sweet smile made up for that. "Make us 'official' or whatever!" He growled impatiently. Classic Vegeta.

Bulma flashed a smirk. "Don't mind if I do." She gripped the laptop by the corner of its screen and spun it around so she could see before rapidly typing.

Goku flashed a smile at Vegeta, who smiled back and lifted his hand so he could kiss Goku's knuckles.

"There!" Bulma turned the laptop around again, allowing Vegeta and Goku to view the post.

Prince Vegeta is in a relationship with Son Goku

Goku smiled in awe at the white hearts moving in a blue circle between their two profile pictures.

"I hope this can make up for the shit we've been through." Bulma nervously chuckled.

Vegeta snorted. "I have no time for grudges."

Goku's head snapped to the side. "But, Vegeta. Ya've had a grudge against me for ages !"

Bulma stifled a laugh as she sipped on her coffee.

Shuffling closer, Vegeta's lips tugged into a devious smirk. "That grudge has been fulfilled because you finally submit to me. Especially in the bedroom."

Goku felt heat rush up to his cheeks as he whined, "Vegeta!"

Bulma was laughing through her mug until she noticed the comments from their friends on the new couple's post. Maybe a gathering would be perfect. Let's just cut out the alcohol this time...
