Avia P.O.V

Today was the day of my first dance competition of the season. Last season I never went a competition without placing so I was hoping to carry on my streak. I woke up and put on some joggers and a hoodie. I heard my mum and brothers get up before I did but I decided to stay in bed. I never get nervous neither do my brothers when they perform. I walked down stairs to find my brothers, mum and James and Daniel.
"Hello James and Skip" I said confused" what are you doing here"
"Coming to watch you" they said in unison.
"Omg really" I said in shock. I hugged both of them. Beau had ordered a mini bus to take us because there was a lot of us. My teacher was taking my costumes with her. It would take us two hours to get there.
"So are you nervous" Daniel asked
"No not at all" I replied
"See she definitely got the brooks jeans" Beau said proudly
I was at next to Jai in the mini bus at the back and Luke was on the other side of Jai. He put his arm around me and I rested it on his chest. Luke took a selfie of us three. I wasn't aloud to fall asleep in the mini bus because I would be to tired when I woke. 2 hours later we arrived at Portland at the venue. My mum ushered me off to my team whilst the boys had pictures with some fans that were competing. I got changed into my first costume and stretched.

We got our seats they were near the front so we could easily see Avia. Her division wasn't until later so we had to watch all the little ones but they were cute anyway. James took a group selfie to put on his snapchat and it said - waiting for muscles to dance.
That was her nickname that James always called her. I heard someone call out her division. First she was performing her group dance. I got out my phone to film her. She was the centre of all the dancers. She began to dance to the music it was amazing. James filmed her for snapchat and so did Jai and Beau but just for themselves. Daniel just watched with his jaw open. She was absolutely great when she finished she posed and walked off with her group. All of us cheered well loud. A few dancers later it was time for Avia's solo. I hadn't watched all of it so I was looking forward to seeing it. They announced her name "Avia Brooks dancing to sugar"
She came on into the bottom corner of the stage. The music started and she did a round off back handspring back tuck and dance. Again we all filmed her. She was great. It was amazing seeing what she could do. She finished and we all went wild and so did the crowd I saw the judges they had a huge smile on their faces. We all watched the other dancers and waited for the awards. "Now for the awards." The age group of the competition was 5-9. First it was for the group. They was counting down from 5th place to first. They hadn't called the group yet. "First place is Melbourne dance academy with heart beat" Avia had a huge smile on her face. James took a picture for his snapchat and put - first award.
Then they went onto the solos. Again they went from 5th place to 1st. They hadn't called her name yet . "And the solo winner is Avia Brooks with Sugar." She jumped up and had a huge smile on her face. She got a medal, now she had two golds. They were doing a winner from all the age groups. Avia won the solo threw the whole competition so I was positive she would win and she did now she had three gold medals. Now was for the winner of the whole competition they would win a 3 foot trophy and a crown. They announced the winning score. "and the winner of the Portland dance competition is ......... Avia Brooks" all the boys had s huge smile on their faces and so did Avia. She was just abit taller than the trophy. Her dance teacher had to carry it off for her because it was to big. Mum went back stage to go and get Avia and us boys waited out front. She came out with her crown and three medals and mum was carrying her trophy. She came and hugged all of us. I told mum to put the trophy down and us brooks went and stood near it with Avia and her medals and crown. We all smiled. I put the picture on Twitter and put- proud brothers. Won overall. I love her. We got in the mini bus to travel home.
Avia was pumped that she has won and was still on a winning streak. We arrived at home and the boys were staying at ours for the night. She put her trophy and medals in her room with all the others. There was hardly any room. It was nearly her birthday and we were keeping a big surprise from her we took her to bed and stayed up nearly all night with the boys.
