"NOW WHY WOULD I KISS YOU!"
he yelled leaving me stunned. The look in his eyes made me feel lost with no direction.

"Because I thought you said I was beautiful" I cried out, the rain pored down my face leaving me wet and cold.

He took his hat off and drained it of its water, turned around to walk away I thought.
Until he reached into his car trunk and pulled out a yellow sticky note.

Confused, I took it from his hand.

It read,

"You, you looked pretty in that skirt you did wear out yesterday, but beauty isn't everything, I hope you learn that."

He was talking about me. The day I wore the skirt he bought me.

"Beauty wasn't everything" he told me, "just because you're beautiful. Doesn't mean I wanted to kiss you then."

I felt my stomach swirl, as I felt the rejection go through my veins.

"If beauty isn't everything, why cant you focus on me as a person and see if you'd wanna kiss me then" I said storming off into his direction to walk home. No matter how wet I got, or how far I'd have to go.

I passed him and he grabbed my hand.

"You just don't get it, do you!"
turned me around by my waist and then he kissed me.

He kissed me. His soft lips on mine. Felt like a million butterfly were sworming through my soul. I grabbed his face and pulled him close.

Only to pull away to catch our breath.

He wanted the real me, not the face and body I put together over insecurities.
