This universe is dedicated to my niece Sofia. It took me many years to build without even realizing what I was building and it's not even close to being finished. Since the novels related to this world are still a work in progress, it is also likely that there will be some changes to it every now and then.
The sources of inspiration to this creation range from Tolkien's Middle Earth, to Dungeons and Dragons, to World of Warcraft and Warhammer Fantasy, not to mention the elements of Norse, Greek and Roman Mythology.
One of the most difficult things, for me, to create in this world was not the races or their culture (although it's an important aspect which needs constant work), but their language. I am not a linguist nor do I fully understand the mechanisms of how a language is built, so eventually you will come across words or expressions - which I will also include, further ahead, in this mini-guide - that are not a language but it is simply my attempt to vocalize my idea of what their language would sound like.
Timelines and history facts and figures of an imaginary world are also a tricky business, and integrating them with our own reality in a fluid way is fun but challenging. So sometimes there might be small inconsistencies related to the age of some characters and some of events that took place in both realms. These inconsistencies will, hopefully, be addressed before publishing the novels.
All of this work began with a very simple question, that I'm sure is familiar to many writers and, which was: What if?
Thank you all
