I grab a discarded stiletto shoe from the floor and stab it through the glass window. I'm not an expert at break-ins so it takes me a few hits to smash the window entirely. I hope no alarms go off as I get the final blow. Luckily, nothing happens as the glass shatters and falls to the ground.

Quietly I sneak in through the corridors of Torchwood and, using my knowledge of a few months ago, I navigate the building to find the place where I got sent back to Parallel Earth. The wall makes me shiver just looking at it - that's the place where I last saw the Doctor.

That last time. That last glance.

There he is. Sat at the computer with his 3D glasses on. He's such a dork. I cast my mind back to the moment when I was sucked into Parallel Earth...that last glance of Earth.

That last glance of the Doctor.

He hasn't seen me. I walk right up to him and fluff his hair daringly.

'Thought you could get rid of me that easily, Doctor?' I grin and he suddenly jumps and spins round. 'Rose! I told you to stay put! This is too dangerous for you...'

My face creases into a frown. 'Why is it too dangerous for me?' He is about to answer when I realise - he is planning exactly what took me away from this world yet again. This time, I'm not going to sit and watch. I'm not going to let go.

'So you really think that I couldn't do it?' I demand. 'You really think I can't hold on to that stupid handle? You think I let go on purpose? I was trying to save you, Doctor! I was trying to help! And you won't let me help you now?'

The Doctor sighs. 'I'm sorry. I don't want you to be sad. But I don't want to lose you. You mean a lot to me, that's all.'

I nod and touch his arm.

'Let's just do it. I'm not going to die. I'm going to be fine.'

'This is the end of the Daleks,' he whispers. 'I swear, it's the end forever.'
