Alive AU
Been a year since Neji woke up. And after that, Naruko became the Hokage. And, she did not eat much and sleep too.
Naruko pov
"You alright Naruko? You look pale..." Shikamaru said as he laid his backhand on my cheek. "I'm alright, no, no need to worry..." I said, shoed his hand. "Alright... Well, I'm done. Don't work too much...." Shikamaru said. I just sighed when he left the office. 'It's been a year now, when will he ever remember about me....?' I thought as I leaned against the chair.
I soon sat and wanted to take the pen, I suddenly began to feel, dizzy. Then, my eyes began to blurry.
Next day
Shikamaru pov
"So, the mission got successfully?" I ask as I walked to Naruko, with Sasuke. Talking about his last mission he was sent by Naruko. "Yea, it was easy and hard at the same time," Sasuke said as I knocked on the door. "Is that so?" I said. "Yea..." He said.
No response. I just knocked again. "Maybe she is having a day off that she is at home?" Sasuke asks. "No, her day is supposed to be tomorrow. Maybe, she fell asleep." I said. "Maybe, maybe not." He said as he opened the door.
We just gasped as we saw Naruko laying on the floor! "Naruko!" I shouted as I lost all papers and runs to Naruko.
Hospital
"It's part of the shock, but mostly with the lack of sleep and anorexia," Sakura said. "You mean, Naruko has both disorders of eating and sleeping?" Sasuke asks. "Yea, unfortunately, but I can say she fainted yesterday or today midnight," Sakura said. "Now, I remember. Past midnight, some ANBU going past the office. They told me that they heard something or someone felt." I said. "But, she needs to be in the hospital. And, I know he will not understand..." Sakura said.
Hyuga palace
Neji pov
"Neji-ni-san..." Heard Hinata-sama calling me. "What it is?" I ask. "It's, it's about Naruko..." She said. "Something happened?" Hiashi-sama said. "She is in the hospital. And please, Neji-ni-san, come with me to the hospital...." She said. "No, I don't know her. That means I will not go to see her." I said. "B-b-but, she is-" "I don't know her! Even if others tell that she doesn't want to talk with me! That's it. Final." I said.
I soon felt a hand on my shoulder. "Girls, go and visit Hokage, I will talk with, him," Hiashi-sama said.
"What do you want to talk Hiashi-sama?" I ask. "About Hokage." He said as he held a book. "What about her?" I ask. "Hokage-sama always came here. Told me all the problems happen since last years...." He said. Then, gave me the book. "It's an album. The time you both began to have a relationship." He said. "Something in there. Well, I hope by this, you will get memories of her.' He said as he stood up and walked away. I just opened it. And there were pictures of me and that blonde girl. And here was written about every photo near them.
I just continued leafing through the album, soon, there stood the date of two days ago! 'Can it be?' I thought. I soon felt a horrible pain in my head! I had to hold my head with two hands, and I lost the album.
Hospital
"Please older sister, eat...." Hanabi said. I just turned my head. "Naruko, why are you doing this?" Hinata said. I still was silent. "Hinata, maybe you take a leave. She needs sleep soon." Sakura said. I soon everyone leaving. I just sighed. I soon heard a knock. I turned my head and saw Neji. "What do you want?" I ask. He didn't answer. Rather, he just walked up. Then sat on the chair and held my hand. Tightly. 'What is it?' I thought as he laid his head on my hand. I was about to ignore him and take my hand away when I heard him cry. "I'm so sorry Naruko..." He said. I just was confused.
"I-I just got all of the memories about you b-back...." That made me shocked. I just took away my hand and held Neji's head to my chest. "It's ok now...." I said as I patted his brown hair. "I-I made you go all this because of me..." He said. "There there, let us forget. You have memories of me now....." I said. While Neji continues apologizing. I just continue patting his head. 'Love of my life is now back....' I thought happily.
