- 1997 -
Monitors beeped throughout the hospital room of the maternity ward. An I.V drip in her arm and her cries of pain fill the hot room. Sweat dripping from her head as her husband tries his best to help soothe her only for his hand to be squeezed like an anaconda killing its meal.
"Breathe with me, sweetheart." Jeon Sungho recites the breathing techniques to his pregnant wife; Jeon Kyung-Mi.
She screams as a contraction hits hard. She waits for her epidural for the pain but isn't allowed it until six centimeters. She's at three.
Hours pass, she's now sat on an exercise ball lightly bouncing to help with the labor process, her husband standing close by for support.
So much pain for a squishy ball of sunshine. She couldn't even imagine what women had to go through before the miracle drug was invented. How much pain they must have been enduring just for a tiny human to be born.
Several more hours pass and she's finally at ten centimeters, the pain almost unbearable as she lays in the hospital bed, propped up to the desired position. Her mom on her left and her husband on her right speaking words of comfort in her ear as tears fall from their eyes.

A baby's cry is the only source to inform new parents of the arrival of their bundle of joy. The baby is taken to the side for a quick check up and clean off before being swaddled and placed in the arms of the new mom.
She looks down at her newborn baby with tear-filled eyes and sweat coating her face. Her hair wet from the sweat and slightly matted. Sungho simply smiles, sniffling to himself as he observes his child, he smiles absentmindedly.
"What are you going to name him?" A nurse asked as she watched with a smile.
Kyung-Mi looked up at Sungho with wide eyes and a smile, Sungho nodded as if he could read her mind and the two looked to the nurse, speaking in unison.
"Jungkook."

A five year old Jungkook sits on the couch of his family home's living room, watching a cartoon, when he suddenly hears cries and screams coming closer.
