Infatuation
Is it when you admire them?
Is it when you look at them?
Is it how you think about them?
What is infatuation?
Feeling the butterflies in your stomach and walking on clouds.
I believe infatuation is when you sit in a class and everyone else disappears.
Feeling hot in your face when they look at you.
Eagerly waiting for them to respond in a text.
What is infatuation?
Is it getting lost in their eyes?
Is it wondering what they think?
Is it running into a pole because you keep staring?
Is it when you embrasse yourself and all you do is hide?
Or is it when you remember every little detail about them?
What is infatuation?
Thinking of excuses to talk to you.
Planning out how our conversation would go.
Getting to know you better.
Talking to my friends non stop about everything I like about you.
What is infatuation?
Is it when I tease about things I know interest you?
Is it stealing a ring or hoodie to show you how it fits on me?
Is it sitting down looking out a window daydreaming of us?
Is it sighing out loud to grab your attention?
Maybe it's doing things and looking back to see if you're watching?
What is infatuation?
Infatuation can mean many things.
It could mean wearing clothes I know you will like.
It could be me talking about games I know you like to play.
Or it could be sending you a spotify playlist of music I think you would like.
What is infatuation?
To me it means crying in an oversized sweater with perfume in the background thinking of the future you and I will never have.
To me it means hugging and kissing my stuffed animals at night wishing it was you.
To me it mean being to scared to walk up to you for weeks because I feel like ill say something dumb.
What is infatuation?
To me, it means looking in your eyes and listening to your voice thinking of what to eat later.
That is infatuation.
