I slowly opened my eyes....

I then realized that I had fallen asleep.

No....then that must mean...that I....

I tried to look at the spot beside me on the bed where she slept.

She wasn't there....

I sat up slowly from the bed.

I gripped the bedsheet tightly.

Why did I fall asleep...

But....how come I can still remember her?

I took deep breaths to try and cool down my mind so I can process things more smoothly.

Come on...think...

I got up from the bed and went to the desk.

There are a few things that are needed to confirm whether or not she is still existing...

I pulled the drawer and saw a note that I had written.

I grabbed it and turned it around to read what I had written.

' Asahina Nazuna' it said.

I sighed in relief.

That checks out...

I remember her in my mind, and I can still see her name.

But....I just need her actual presence.

I suddenly hear the door opening.

And I let out another sigh of relief as I watched Nazuna enter the door with her keys.

She was holding a plastic bag.

She closed the door and then noticed me staring at her.

She flinched in suprise.

" You're awake..." She said.

I nodded.

She gave me a big smile as she walked towards me.

" Good morning~!" She chirped.

I looked towards the plastic bag that she was holding.

Nazuna noticed my gaze and gave me an answer while placing the bag down on the mini table.

" I got some breakfast from the nearby diners!" She said.

" Isn't there free breakfast at this hotel?" I asked.

Her face turned into one of disgust.

" No.....I tried it and......blegh..." she said.

Was it really that bad? I wondered.

She takes out my rice meal and gave it to me.

" Trust me, the diner food is way better." She said.

I nodded and opened it.

" Itadakimasu." I said before chowing down.

Well, I haven't tried the hotel food but...

This definitely tastes good.

I continued to eat.

" Itadakimasu." I hear Nazuna say before eating her food.
