School was over and I was currently hanging out with Asahina-senpai in the same cafe from yesterday.

It was pretty silent between us.

I was currently staring at my drink whilst lost in thought.

I was not the best conversation starter...

No, rephrase that.

I'm the LAST guy you'd want to initiate any conversation.

But....I can at least try....

All right, here goes nothing...

"  Asahina-senpai. How was school?" I asked.

She stopped sipping her drink and stared at me with a look of disbelief.

I......that question sucked.....didn't it?

" You are really terrible at conversation, aren't you?" She said.

" Please don't rub salt on the wound..." I replied.

She then laughed a bit.

" Were you trying to break the silence?" She asked.

I sighed and nodded and she began to laugh more.

" Well.....I guess it makes it easier for me then. I didn't really know how to start a conversation between us, but I'm glad that you failed before I did~" she teased.

I should have waited a bit more then....

" Anyway, I was thinking of asking you this yesterday." She said.

" What is it? " I asked.

" How can you see me?" She asked while looking at me with a serious expression.

The atmosphere became slightly tense.

" Who knows." I answered.

She sighed.

" Come on....there MUST be something, right?" She said.

I thought about whether I should reveal my true thoughts on the matter.

There was no actual benefit in me telling her anything.

I don't really know Asahina-senpai either.

But.....

This scene is reminding me of a bitter memory.

The night when I finally confronted Ichika about the truth.

For an entire year, she felt alone and 'fake' because she was acting like the old Ichika in order to not worry our parents.

When in reality, she's like a completely different person.

If I leave Asahina-senpai like this....

I sighed.

" I guess....I do have a theory as to why I'm able to see you." I said.

Her eyes light up in suprise as she waited for me to talk.

" Perhaps it's because you and I are connected to a certain phenomenon, ' Puberty Syndrome ' " I said.

She raises a brow.

" Isn't that a myth?" She asked.

" At first, I thought the same. Until I had the evidence to prove it."  I said.
