Chapter Two

{Shoto PoV}
Saturday finally came, but I couldn't find Akari anywhere yesterday. I know I don't have to be as worried as I am considering that she's tough and her quirk would be able to help her out, but I haven't heard anything of her since two days ago. I hear a knock at my door and I go and answer it. I see Mina standing in front of my door with a nervous and worried look on her face. "Mina, is everything alright?" "Not exactly," she nervously laughs, "So yknow how Akari disappeared and was like gone for a day or two?" I nod slowly. "Yea well she's back and-" "Where is she!?" "Woah jeez dude, calm down! I gotta tell you the rest." I sigh and let her continue. "She's in her dorm right now and I went to go greet her since it's been so long, but she like flinched and was asking me who I was, where she was, who she was, how old she was, the whole 9 yards." I knew something was up. Right from when she didn't meet me at my door yesterday how she usually does, I knew there was something wrong. "So uh, I was kinda hoping you'd want to help her-" I cut Mina off and start making my way to Akari's dorm room. Mina keeps yelling for me to come back, but Akari being ok is more important that listening to whatever she's trying to yell at me about. I carefully open the door to Akari's dorm and peak my head in. She is curled into a ball on her bed, with several papers and items spread around. I walk over to her bed and carefully sit next to her. "Akari? Are you ok?" She looked up at me confused. "U-uhm...w-who are y-you again..?" "I'm your friend, Todoroki. Do you remember me?" She sits up cautiously, thinking I might hurt her. "T-todo....roki? M-my friend...?" "Yea, I showed you around the school and we've been eating lunch together. Do you really not remember?" She looks at me and I can see small tears in her eyes. "N-no....i-im sorry t-todoroki..." She hugs me and starts crying into my shirt. I hug her as well and rub her back. "It's ok, you really don't have to cry." She looks up at me and she wipes her eyes with the sleeve of her shirt. "S-so you a-arent mad...that i-i d-dont remember..?" "Why would I be mad at you? We're friends after all." I smile at her and she smiles back slightly. "I-i guess you're r-right." I can tell that she's getting more comfortable with me because she sits a bit more relaxed and is smiling. "Hey Akari, do you want me to go and take you around the dorm building to meet everyone?" Her eyes light up slightly. "T-there's more p-people?" I nod and she happily hugs me. "Y-yea, I wanna m-meet everyone!" "Alright, then let's go." I stand up and I help her get to her feet. Her legs have cuts on them, but most of them have scabbed over already. She tries to stand on her own, but she almost falls to the ground with me catching her. "Do you want me to carry you around so you don't hurt your legs?" She nods and I pick her up, taking her to the Commons room.

[Time skip: 10 minutes]

{Akari PoV}

After a while, I got to meet just about everyone in my class. A lot of them had said they were worried about me or that they were my friends but I only really barely recognized a few people. Of course, there was my friend Todoroki who had brought me out here in the first place and we had already became best friends, and I recognized Bakugo because I had a faint memory of him winning the UA Sports Festival before I had moved. Everyone was talking to each other, but I was more focused on me, Todoroki, and Mina's conversation. "So lemme get this straight, the whole reason you left yesterday was to find Akari and you couldn't even do that?" Mina laughed slightly. "It's not exactly ideal to search through the entire night. There could've been villains, and we aren't fully trained for that yet." Mina sighs and smiles slightly at him. "I guess that makes sense," she looked down to me since I was still being held by Todoroki, "Are you feeling a bit better? Your legs looked pretty beaten when I found you." I remember that, they are pretty bad and hurt to walk on right now. "I-i guess I'm feeling a b-bit better, yea. Thanks, M-mina." I smile at her and she smiles back. "Of course! I'm not just gonna ignore the fact that you must've been bleeding." She slightly laughs and I do as well. I don't know how that happened to my legs though, because my memory is so foggy. I can remember bits and pieces in the past, but barely enough recent events to know what happened. We kept talking for a while and a tall person with semi long black hair came over to us. "I'm glad to see that you're doing alright Akari, Shoto was very worried about you." They had very tired eyes and wore a black T-shirt and pants. "Y-yea...who a-are you again..?" I felt bad for asking, but it's not like I could pretend to know him. "I'm your teacher, Shota Aizawa. You can either call me Mr Aizawa or just Aizawa. It's fully up to you." He sounded scary, but I got used to it quickly. "Oh o-ok, well hi M-mr Aizawa." He slightly nods and looks at everyone else then back to me, Todoroki, and Mina. "I'm expecting both of you to help her around the campus and show her where everything is on Monday. Everyone else will be at the gym tomorrow for quirk training. I expect you both to bring her with you and so she can train her quirk as well, alright?" They both nod "Yes sir, I'll make sure Mina also doesn't get sidetracked." Mina turns to him and starts trying hitting him. "What do you mean sidetracked!? You're the one tha-" He covers her mouth to prevent her from saying something. "Mina I told you no saying that out wherever!" She giggles and moves Todoroki's hand away from her mouth and puts it on her head. "I won't, I was just teasing you" He sighs and takes his hand back. "Good, but yes, we'll make sure everything goes good Aizawa." Mr Aizawa nods and starts walking off. "Good, remember that I'm in my office if you need anything." They both nod and turn back to each other. "So Mina, you had said something about going out to some place?" She giggles and smiles at us both. "Yes I did! I was thinking about having us three and then Kaminari, Kirishima, and Bakugo come along with us for a bit of a dinner and maybe some shopping!" Todoroki shrugs slightly and looks down to me. "What do you think Akari?" I guess that'd be a good way to talk to some people. And plus, I should really hang out with people so that I'm not considered an outcast. "S-sure, sounds fun!" I smile and Mina jumps up. "Yes! I'll go and tell them right away!" Todoroki tries to say something to her, but by the time he started, she had already ran over to the three of them and was telling them about it. He sighed and set me down on the couch, giving me enough space to finally stretch. "She just doesn't listen sometimes, huh?" I slightly laugh and sit back. "Hey uhm..t-todoroki?" He turned to me. "Yea?" "Can you bring me to my room so I can get some decent clothes on please?" I nervously laugh and he stands up, picking me up in the process. "Sure, you think you'll be good yourself?" I nod and he already gets to my room, opening the door for me. He puts me down and I almost fall, but I catch myself. "Thanks Todo, I'll try and be out soon." I smile at him and he closes my door, letting me change

[7 Minutes Later]

{Mina PoV}

Me, Todoroki, Kaminari, Kirishima, and Bakugo are all waiting outside Akari's room, waiting for her to finish changing. I turn to Bakugo and I get an evil smirk on my face. "Sooooo Bakugo, how's Kirishima been recently?" He groans and turns to me. "For the tenth time, we literally just hang out a lot, what's the big deal?!" I giggle and grin again. "Don't act like I didn't see anything this morning, cuz you two were definitel-" Bakugo slaps a hand over my mouth and I laugh. "You saw nothing, hear me Pinky?!" "Yeaaa yeaaa, whatever you say" I grin and he moves his hand as Akari walks out.

I look over and gasp a bit. "Woa Akari, you look really good!" She slightly smiles. "Thanks, Mina. I really couldn't find anything else, so it's not even good clothes.." Kirishima chimes in, "Trust me bro, you look amazing!" She smiles again. "Thanks guys," She walks over to us and smiles, "So who's ready to eat?" Denki's eyes light up. "I'm ready! I've been starving for hours!" He laughs and I smile. "I've been ready and I'm sure Bakugo's ready even though he won't show it." I poke him slightly. "Yea yea whatever, can we go?" I nod and lead the way out. "Hope you guys like good shit, because I reserved us the best place I could!" They all smile and follow behind me. "Never expected less from you Mina." Kirishima laughs slightly and we all head out.
