STARTING FRESH USUALLY meant leaving everything as you know it behind. If it's moving from a country to another it meant leaving family and friends behind. Packing up your things and fly away from your nest.
There's plenty of reasons to why you choose to start fresh. To why you choose to start over. Either because you feel like it, to be adventurous or because it's not working anymore.
Starting fresh wasn't new for Valentine Forbes.
The first time it happened was when she was only 20, she left her beaten up life in the UK to study medicine in America. She had worked her ass off in public school to get herself a scholarship, Valentine had always been intelligent, one of the many attributes her mother hated because it often reminded her of Valentine's father.
Valentine's father had been absent since she was around six, maybe seven, she can't recall it well and all she knew of him was that he loved her but it wasn't enough to survive his abusive and manipulative wife. It was one of the many reasons to why leaving home was not hard for Valentine.
