Chapter 4

Rayla pov

"Assimilate?" Me and Ava asked in union I was leaned against a wall when me and her broke into laughter, the others looked at us confused. "They mock us?" Leif asked confused "n-no no it's cause" I laughed some more "you said ass" I said holding my laughter in. I stopped laughing after catching my breath "sorry what were you saying?" I questioned.

"Asch perhaps you can explain" Rhys said and turned to asch "fine" he said and looked at us "teach us your human ways" I stared at him there's no way he thinks he's getting anywhere with that attitude. "asking like that isn't going to-" Rhys started but Ava cut him off "if we do that will you guys leave?" I shook my head this was going to take a while. The constant "reallys" got interrupted when asch got fed up "SILENCE" he yelled "killjoy" I mumbled "look when I woke up this morning I was kind of hoping you would rob us and leave" I said nonchalantly.

"Why would you hope for that?" Leif asked and cocked and eyebrow at me "because-" I sighed "never mind" I flopped on the couch and turned to my wolf form since I was feeling a little tired, I felt like just watching the whole thing unravel. Ava began talking in a sorcerer-like voice which made me giggle a bit. I must have dozed off while she was talking because when I woke up I heard her call my name "what is it Ava?" I asked tiredly "your going to watch over these three while I'm gone"

she pointed at rhys, leif and pierce "Eh?! Why me?" I asked a bit shocked and uncomfortably I didn't feel very safe with being around leif, that particular psychopath is crazy "because I know that your just going to sleep the whole time so it doesn't matter" I looked at leif with an annoyed glare "fine" I said laying back down on the couch and closing my eyes. Part of the couch then slumped down, I at first thought it was arctic who came out of my room but then I felt a warm hand resting on my fur it moved back and forth, so I opened an eye and peeked up at the person who was petting me.

No ones pov

She was then met with two shining blue irises. "Why are you petting me?" She was tired and exhausted, Rayla didn't want to spend her morning having to watch over these three. "You seem troubled about something" his voice was deep and a bit intimidating but she didn't mind. "Heh thanks" she closed her eyes enjoying the pets and ear scratches she was getting, unintentionally she rolled over on her back so pierce began to rub her stomach.

After a while, she must have fallen asleep because when Rayla opened her eyes she saw that pierce wasn't there anymore, in fact none of the daemos were. She got up and shifted back into human form, checking Ava's room and hers, but they weren't there 'where'd they go?' She thought to herself. Rayla then felt a strong presence behind her, she turned to see leif standing behind her and growled at him "whoa easy there" he said raising his hands up "heh you sure do get aggressive I like that" he said the last part darkly before turning around and disappearing in the wall.

Rayla pov

'What the heck?!' I couldn't believe what I had just seen, I walked closer to the wall and placed my hand on it before I fell through "ah!" I shrieked falling flat on a hard floor. I got up and couldn't believe it, this was an entire house inside of our- uhh house? "Uh hello? Is anyone here?" I asked as the three daemos then came running. "Oh look it's the pet prisoner" Leif sparked up, my ears folded backward by the word 'pet' I growled and went into my wolf form.

"PET?! LISTEN HERE YOU LITTLE PSYCHOPATH I AM NOT AND NEVER WIL BE ANYONES PET" i roared, I was annoyed as hell, no one calls me a pet and gets away with it "yeah yeah whatever can we kill her now" Leif asked and turned to Rhys, my pupils turned to thin slits as I shot daggers at leif 'Like you could' I whispered and turned back into my human form, I turned around then heard something clank, fall on the floor. "LEIF" Rhys and pierce shouted.

That's when I turned around "what? I just wanted to see if she would let her guard down that fast and she did" 'that asshole threw a knife at me' I thought when I saw pierce standing there in a fighting position with his sword out, he must have been the one to block the knife from hitting me. Rhys then began scolding him like a parent would do to a child. Pierce turned back to me and looked me in the eyes "are you okay?" He sounded a pit concerned but I nodded "yeah I'm fine just a bit surprised" I stared down at the ground then looked back at him "come" he said grabbing my wrist and pulling me away from the other two.

No one's pov

"Uh where are we going?" She asked tilting her head a bit "I do not trust leif not to harm you" he answered worried but tried his best to be calm. When they stopped Rayla saw five doors she guessed they were their rooms one was orange with a yellow lightning bolt on it another was green with a leaf mark on it, then a red door with a fire symbol on it the last two were a dark blue door with an ice shard mark and a light blue door with a water droplet mark on it.

i'm not sure what pierces magic is but I feel like he would wield water since he also wears blue so yea. pls tell me if I made any spelling or grammar mistakes sometimes I type to fast and end up making mistakes or auto correct does some stupid stuff anyways thanks :)
