Randall's POV:
I woke up with a pounding headache in a random bed. The bed was empty besides me thank god. I remember everything from last up until Bridget left me in the hall way after our kiss. Everything after that was pretty hazy. I remember doing weed with some girl last night and taking a shit ton of shots, but that's about it. I don't remember seeing Bridget after our kiss and suddenly I was worried. What if she went and did something stupid. I should probably go check to see if she made it home.
I got up and put my pants on. I grabbed my phone and clicked on 'Sexy Bitch' and called. I would say she took my phone and changed the contact, but that would be a lie. It used to be 'bitchy cunt', but I changed it when we started hanging out afraid she would see it and castrate me. It rand three times before going to voice mail. Fuck. I went out to my car, shirtless considering I had not a clue where my shirt ended up last night. Before I opened the door I heard a voice that made my insides curl.
"Hey Randy." I heard the sickly sweet voice of none other than Tina.
"Don't call me that." I immediately said before turning around to face the short brunette.
"If you're looking for Bridget she left last night in a taxi. She didn't seem to happy with you. Well I wouldn't say she wasn't happy, just disappointed." She said picking at her cuticles.
"Why, what did you tell her?" I asked gritting my teeth, becoming frustrated.
"Nothing that wasn't true. Just that you were and asshole, you wouldn't settle and that you were in on the couch making out with a stoner." She said with an evil smile that resembled the Cheshire cat.
"What the fuck Tina? Why the fuck do you hate me?" I asked getting angy. I had no doubt that I ended up making out with some girl, but she didn't have to tell Bridget. I was trying to win her over and this probably just proved everything she was suspecting.
"Why do I hate you? Hmmm... let's see. You used me as a booty call, treated me like shit and then dropped me for some other slut. What's so special about her? Why did you fall for her and not me? Everyone says we are exactly alike yet you fall for her!" She shrieked at an unbelievably annoying tone.
"You two are nothing alike." I mumbled before unlocking my door and rushing to get the key in the ignition.
"Randall, sorry to break it to you, but she is far to smart to fall for the shit you are about to tell her. She may be the one girl who sees through your screen of bullshit. I may hate her and she may be equal to Satan, but I have to give her that." She said leaning in to talk through my open window before I sped off.
Tina was right about that. She was the one girl who wasn't going to buy the shit that I had prepared. I had to be honest and that probably wasn't going to be enough. I sped home taking a shortcut and ran to her door. I rang the door bell and waited. The door opened, but it wasn't Bridget.
"Oh hello Randall, I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been? How are your parents." Bridget's mom asked with a smile. She looked a lot like Bridget with the same hair and eyes.
"Hi Mrs. Parker, we've all been good. I'm sure when they get back from their business trip they would love to see you." I said politely. I have somehow always managed to stay on her good side and for good reason. When I egged their house when I was 14 she dropped the charges and just made me clean up.
"And I them. Now are you here to see Bridget, because she isn't feeling well and I'm not sure she wants company." She said glancing up the stairwell that was behind her.
"That's why I'm here actually, she texted me and said she was bored and wanted someone to talk to." I said lying smoothly.
"Randall you've always been so nice, I'm sure she would love to see you. Go on up." She said naively. Oh if only she new how not nice I was, she wouldn't let me anywhere near her daughter. I thanked her and ran up the stairs to the familiar room. I knocked and waited.
"Mom, I'm fine, I just need some rest." I heard Bridget say with a small voice. I opened the door tentatively.
"Mom honestly, I'm-" She stopped when she saw me and clamped her mouth shut. She was surrounded by blankets and had a bucket beside her.
"Oh hey." She mumbled her cheeks becoming red.
"Hey." I answered before sitting on her couch.
"What do you want.?" She asked, not sounding bitter just tired.
"I just talked to Tina and I thought we should talk." I said looking at my hands that were folded in my lap.
"Look Randall, it's fine you just weren't meant to be in a monogamist relationship. We can still be friends." She said with a impassive face.
"I don't want to be friends Bridge, I want to be so much more than friends." I said getting up and striding across the room before kneeling in front of her and grabbing her hands.
"Randall, I can't do this. Okay, I can't deal with wondering where you are and if you're with another girl. I just need to be by myself for a while. Luckily I will still need friends, and I still need you. Can you deal with that, just being friends." I felt my heart dropping with every word.
"No I can't deal with that." I said before dropping her hands and walking out. Avoiding her mom and managing to escape through the front door.
