Bridget had her head leaning on my shoulder and I could tell she was about to drift off. It was only the third quarter and the game was pretty heated, I wanted to stay and see who won, but I should probably bring her home.
"Do you want to go home?" I whispered in her ear making her jump. She looked up at me through her long eyelashes and nodded.
"Hey guys we're going to go home." Everyone nodded except Nathan and Tina who had been ignoring us all night.
"See ya." Bridget said to Tori who was engrossed in the game, I could definitely see why Jarrod was so excited about her, but even though Bridget wasn't into the game her sitting in her seat and not complaining as I watched the game which in my book is equally as attractive. I wrapped my arm around her and before walking out of their sight I kissed her softly. She smiled up at me and mouthed a thank you. I did it, because I knew Nathan would be watching us leave.
"Well that was excruciating." She said when we got into my car.
"I knew you didn't like football, but was it that bad?" I said jokingly.
"You know what I mean. That was just gross, I don't care who you are you don't just make out in the middle of a football game." She said shuttering at the images that were surely flashing through her mind.
"Yeah I know what you mean." I muttered. It wasn't the kissing that bothered me, I truly don't give a shit about Tina, but the look on Bridget's face killed me.
"So I haven't had sex since last Friday, so let's go to your place." She said casually, but I choked.
"I mean your parents aren't home right and the nanny will leave when you get there, it is Friday she usually does so, we're good right?" She asked. She knew my home situation better than anyone. I guess you learn a few thing after living beside someone for 5 years.
"Y-yeah we're good, but Bridget do you really want to do this I mean won't it complicate things?" I asked. All she did was raise her eyebrows and roll her eyes.
"As if you haven't been dreaming about this for years." She said laughing and giving me a skeptical look. Hell I would be too if I heard the words that just came out of my mouth.
"You wish." I said laughing, but still nervous. I tried to shake it off and act normally she just rolled her eyes again and turned up the radio. Even though I admitted to myself I liked her, I don't know why I am so worked up over sex, I've done it so many times before with plenty of girls. What makes this one different?
"Randall, you coming?" She asked me snapping me out of my thought as I realized we were parked and sitting outside my house.
"Um yeah I guess." I said turning off my car and stepping out into the cold night air.
We went into my house to find Linda asleep on the couch. She usually fell asleep when she waited for me to relieve her from her shift. I went over and nudged her a few times until her eyes fluttered open.
"Oh hey bud how was your date?" She asked opening her eyes up wider and stretching out. She glanced between me and Bridget her eyebrows raising.
"Pretty good I'd say." She muttered as she grabbed her purse, the look of disapproval clearly written on her face. Linda has been like a mom to me ever since my parents decided to start traveling for their business. They ran a small chain hotel that has recently expanded to the east coast so they decided they needed to fly around check on them.
"Yeah I was just about to say good night to her when I realized your car was still here and I decided I should come relieve you from your shift first." I spouted out the same shit I usually did when I had to justify my dates staying over.
