After Bridget hurried inside I took Mia out of her car seat, because god only knows how long Bridget's going to take to get ready. Mia could barely contain the smile on her face. I was struggling along with her, because this was it. My chance to prove myself yo Bridget and win her over. I refuse to be friend zoned. I put on a cartoon for Mia as we waited and she struggled to sit still.
"Randall what's taking her so long?
"Randall can't you text her?"
"Is she coming?"
"Were you being stupid again and made her mad?"
These were only a few of the questions she asked me in the last ten minutes and she wasn't slowing down. When we heard a knock on the door we were both up and running to it within seconds. I opened the door before Mia could reach it (I may have tripped her to slow her down) and a huge smile spread on my face. She was wearing a simple white summer dress with flower details and simple white flats. She had subtle shade of light colors above her eyes and a bit of mascara and eyeliner. So to sum up she looked hot as fuck. (a/n it was hard to not type af there)
"Ok lets go!" Mia said breaking the silence which consisted of me smiling like an idiot and Bridget turning into a tomato. Mia grabbed both of arms towing us towards the car. She let go when we finally started cooperating and moving with her.
"I am so excited! I am going to see monkeys and rino's and polar bears. Polar bears are my favorite! What's your favorite animal Bridgie?" Mia said at a million miles an hour.
"I don't know, I got to say polar bears are pretty cool, but I think hippos are cooler." Bridget said.
"No way! Hippos are fat and slimy." Mia said wrinkling her nose at the thought.
"Polar bears are fat to!" Bridge said in a defensive tone.
"Yeah, but in a fluffy cute way. Hippos are just unhealthy." Mia said matter of factly.
"You know, because you said that you are probably going to turn into a hippo in your next life right? I said joining the conversation.
"What do you mean my next life?" Mia asked furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.
"Never mind." I said not having the energy to answer a hundred questions.
The rest of the car ride went pretty much like that, with Bridget and Mia in the back arguing and me joining in occasionally.
Stoppig at the gas station really took a toll on my wallet. I had to insist On paying for the food Bridget got, god why do I have to be such a gentleman? One of god's cruel jokes I guess.
"When are we going to be there?" You would think it was the four year old that continued to ask for the last 45 minutes, but no. It was the 18 year old who was constantly whining.
"Can you please shut up." I said making her pout her lip. Yep such a gentleman.
"Rude." She muttered. I had to remember to be nice to her, the whole trying to make her fall for me thing was a total bitch.
"Sorry, but you've asked me like fifty times since we have been in the car." I said trying to remain calm.
"Sorry, but this is such a loooonngggg ride." She said looking out the window.
"The four year old is more mature than you." I said with a small smile on my face. I looked in the rearview mirror and she had her tongue out at me. Yep that was the immature beautiful girl who had me wrapped around her finger.

When we got to the zoo both Mia an Bridget both hopped out of the car as fast as they could. I of course took my time and by the time I got out they were both glaring at me. I grinned at both of them and eventually Bridget returned it. Mia walked ahead of us while me and Bridget stayed in stride. While we were walking to the ticket booth our hand brushed awkwardly and her hand jolted. I smirked and intertwined our finger. She sent me a glare and took her hand back and crossed her chest making my smile disappear.
When we got the ticket booth I paid for all of our tickets against Bridget's will. Mia could barely contain herself. We grabbed a map and glanced at it before heading off to the monkey house. We entered the smelly building and Bridget was like a kid in the candy store. Her and Mia went from exhibit to exhibit pointing out different monkeys. Neither of them really acknowledged me and I was completely fine with it. I loved watching how immersed they were. Bridget picked up Mia and began pointing out different animals.
Bridget set her down and let her go on her own to look at the different animals. She was pretty fascinated with the lemurs. I walked up behind Bridget who was watching a huge gorilla. I wrapped my arms around her small waist and placed light kisses on her neck.
Her breathe hitched and she whipped around so our chests were pressed together and our lips were inches apart.
"I know what your doing." She said in a breathy voice that was almost a gasp.
"Yeah and what is that?" I asked as I buried my face in the crook of her neck.
"I'm not changing my mind, Randall. We aren't going to work." She said still not pulling out of my embrace. I hummed in her neck in response.
"Whatever you say." I said as she gasped when I nibbled lightly on a sensitive spot on her neck.
"I-I'm serious Randall, we are never going to work." She said in barely a whisper.
"I never said we would." I said with a huge smile as I pulled away to look at her red face.
"Well good, because it wouldn't end well." She said more confidently now that my lips weren't on her. She steppe away from me and looked around. Her eyebrows furrowed before her face formed a shocked expression.
"Where's your sister?" She asked making my heart drop.
