I wake up dreading each morning because every day is one step closer to the trip with him
"River wake the fuck up" Mars whispers in my ear
I flutter my eyes open to see her face close to an inch away from mine and jump back falling off my bed
"Awe falling for me already riv" she says in an annoying voice
"Shut the fuck up before I stab you" I say trying my best to cover my laugh as I throw a knife in her direction just missing her by less than an inch
"YOU BITCH" she screams jumping on top of me accidentally grappling the scar on the side of my hip
"OWWWWW YOU WHORE" I scream not knowing whether to laugh or punch her in the face
She studies my face before she says "you know you never told me how you got that"
"Why do you want to know so bad" I say turning my head to the window my eyes becoming glossy with the emotions filling my brain
"Because river you are my best friend and I want to know" she says with concern filling her voice
"Before my mom left we were fighting over something stupid I honestly don't remember what but she was drunk and pissed at me, I mean what's new" I laugh as I choke back tears not knowing how to continue "she told me it should have been me that died in the fire years ago not my brother aspen" I say now with tears streaming down my face "she shoved me on the table and tried stabbing me but I moved and she only caught my hip" I say shaking as Mars reaches out grabbing my hands looking in my eyes which makes me feel safer "long story short I was bleeding out on the floor and I ripped out the knife so I could sew it up and it left a scar" I say trying to control my breathing. Before I can think further Mars pulls me into a hug and squeezes me tight
"River I'm so sorry" she says
"It's ok because I have you now" I smile slightly at you tasting the saltiness of my tears on my lips when we are interrupted by Kayden bursting into my room
"River get the fuck up and get to your dads office..." he says loudly
"What the fuck does he want now" I say rolling my eyes
"Trust me you're gunna like this" he says with a mischievous tone
I get up and walk down stairs and into his office. As soon as we walk in I am greeted with him sitting with a wide grin on his face
"Ah my favorite child their you are"
"Dad I'm your only child... what do you want anyways" I say
"Well you have a job to do later" he says hesitantly
"Oh ok" I say wondering what the big deal was
"You didn't let me finish... with Greyson" he says slowly
"What the fuck dad I thought I had another week before I had to see him" I say annoyed
"Well after this you have untill you go to Paris I promise" he says "anyways you are going to like this"
"What is it"
Before he can answer I hear someone walk in and say
"We have to take out a gang that has been trying to interfere with the Spanish mafia" Greyson speaks
"Greyson get the fuck out, also it's your mafia not mine" I say coldly
" for starters we are allies and you are an assassin and we need more assassins because this is a large gang with very strong men and women" he speaks
"Whatever" I say
I turn to walk out the door but just before I walk out I turn around and say "if you want a chance to see me cupcake just ask" laughing as I walk out I hear him yell back
"Don't call me that princess"
"I'm not your princess, cupcake"I yell back before closing my door and seeing Mars still on my bed with an amused look on her face
"So you guys have nicknames for eachother" she says playfully
"Shut the fuck up" I say to her now laughing with her
We sit on my bed and watch euphoria for the next four hours and now we have one hour to get ready
I start my makeup doing simple winged liner and a dark red lip and walk into my closet to get dressed
"What should I wear" I yell back to Mars just as she is walking out of my room
"I dont give a shit riv" she yells back leaving my door open
I pull out black skinny jeans, a black cropped tank top, thing high black heeled boots, my favorite knives and a gun and begin to get dressed
I'm sitting their first about ten minutes struggling to zip my boots when grey walks by my room
"Need help princess" he says laughing at my struggle
"You wish cupcake" I say back zipping the shoe and walking out of my room
I am about to leave when Mars calls me
"I may not be going with you but we still need to take our shot" she says
"Ok let's go" I say
"Greyson do you want one" she says giving me the look
"No he does not" I say quickly
" actually I do" he says knowing it will annoy me
We take our shot and i say goodbye to Mars, my dad, and my beautiful dog angel and walk out of the house
"I'm driving" I say getting in my matte black Ferrari with red details
"My team will meet us their"he says deciding not to argue against who is driving
"Maybe I'll crash the car and finally kill you" I say dead serious
"You would die too" he says
"Ok it's worth it"
I get into the car and start it a few moments later he gets in ton the passenger side
I turn on my music and he automatically sends me a glare
"Look I am trying my hardest at not to kill you cupcake so shut the fuck up and deal with it" I say
"You think this is easy for me princess I hate you too and hell I almost killed you atleast 12 times today but can we just get this mission over" with he says yelling
"don't call me princess and don't yell at me... ok cupcake?!" I say as I begin to drive to the place we were told to meet at
"Ok princess" he says looking straight ahead
"It's taking everything in my to not take the knife under my shirt and stab you with it right now" I say glaring at him
He turns to look at me "do it" he say seductively
Go help me I think pulling into the place
