"She's here! She's here!" I hear Devi calling. An involuntary smile spreads on my face as she opens the door to great me.

"Akka!!" My 18 year old sister is extremely fond of hugs. Due to her, even I enjoy giving as well as recieving hugs.

Moreover, what's better than getting a hug after a long day at work?

After greeting Amma and Appa, I hurry to my room. My patience with the saree is coming to an end. I lie down for a while after undraping it.

My legs hurt a little, thanks to the 15 floor workout. I hope he isn't planning to use the stairs every day. There's no way that they'll not notice his absence.

Whether he chooses to travel by lift or by stairs, that's none of your business, Kriti.

Right. None of my business.

I wash my face and return to the hall.
Devi is waiting for me with her bag of questions.

"How was it?" She asks without beating around the bush. And for the first time today, I allow myself to be a fan.

"It was beyond words, Devi. After all these years of imagining how it'd be meeting him, my dream came true today. The moments passed so quickly yet they're vivid. You know, he acknowledged me with a smile! When he said Kriti, I had tears in my eyes. There was nothing more I wanted than telling him everything he has unknowingly done for me. I wanted to forget all professional boundaries for a second and hold his hand as I say, "I love you, Thala. Always have, always will."

I let out the sigh that was holding all the complaints with it.

Devi gets up to squeeze my hand. "Must be tough, Akka. I can't even imagine standing next to him without screaming, and you, you had to pretend to be normal. Unaffected. Must have been a tough day."

"Yes, it wasn't that bad though." I admit. Fully aware of what all had prevented it from being categorised as a "bad day."

Devi raises her eyebrows. I shrug.
"By the way, Appa, have you heard about Ruturaj Gaikwad? He's a new player."

I ask, not sure why, but I still ask.
"Ruturaj Gaikwad. Ah yes, he's the one who had an excellent year in domestic cricket before being picked by Chennai."

"Oh." So he has stats in his favour. Why was he so nervous then? Because of his legendary teammates, perhaps?
"Dinner's ready," Amma calls us to the kitchen to help serving it. I'm so tired by the end of the meal that I have to excuse myself to sleep.
I'm never climbing 15 floors again.
