With Swamp Monster now gone, there is only him standing in between of the Mistress and the "Players". He knows that if he falls, then the Mistress will **die**. Penumbra called upon his units once more, perhaps for his final time. Soon, the "players" will arrive. He knows the Mistress is in grave danger. Thus, he sent a sizable force to evacuate the Mistress out of Earth.
With his thought cleared of the Mistresses safety, he can finally go toe to toe with his foes. The Head Knight takes one last glance at the colloseum, and leaves for the gates. There, he saw the "Players" placing down their towers. Surely, the enemies he sent will cause trouble? After all, they are equipped with weapons and mighty armor.
To the dismay of Penumbra, they did not fight the towers at all. His units thought they are invulnerable to bullets, thanks to their armor. They are not. One by one, he watches his units die. Still, they refuse to fight back. Penumbra seems to be more desperate. It has been 10 minutes. His units kept dying faster and faster. It was upon him whether to continue on fighting, or flee to the colosseum. He opted to stay.
Then, when his soldiers are critically low for another wave or two, he remarks of his fantasies with the mistress, and charged his entire reserve into the enemy, but it's all worthless by now. One by one, Penumbra's units die an agonizing death. Soon, the Head Knight found himself alone. But this time, he will make sure the "Players" suffer for this.
He unleashed a barrage of plasma beams towards the "Players", but they seem unfazed. It's over. As his HP started to drain away, he reminisces his time serving under the Mistress. Hell, he even wanted to ask her out. But all of that will be what they are, fantasies.
10,000.
7,000
5,000.
3,000.
1,000.
He closed his eyes, waiting for the inevitable to come.
. . .
But it did not.
Suddenly, the towers starts focusing on the gate, in which bullets from the towers bounce off and ping from it. Then, a bright spark of light came from the gate. It launched itself to an accelerator, and exploded on inpact, stunning it longer than anyone could've known for. Then, a familiar laughter came from the gate.
Penumbra finally regained his hope of surviving as he slowly crawls to the Base. As he crawls, Umbra summoned all of her units to make way for the Mistress. However, the "Players" are still going strong, and Umbra struggled to reach Penumbra.
As Penumbra inches closer and closer, the Players start to took notice. One says he can handle it, and places down a level 3 Minigunner. Umbra has to think fast, before Penumbra will die. With no options left, she grabbed her bow, four arrows, and took aim on Penumbra. She lets loose of the arrows, and they landed behind Penumbra.
Not long after, the arrows exploded, sending Penumbra flying to the Base. With only 400 HP remaining, he managed to break into the base, instantly draining it's HP. Then, the players started to dissapear, one by one. Umbra doesn't have time to think of them, as she rushes to Penumbra.
"M-madam...?" Penumbra tries to speak more, but he kept wheezing, then he passes out. Umbra felt regret for shooting Penumbra, seeing him suffer before passing out. But she had no choice. She picks up Penumbra, and carries him to the colosseum on a piggyback.
