As The Servants tried their best to keep healing Umbra, Penumbra felt despair. Regret, for not going out earlier to save her. He laid his hand on Umbra's palms. Umbra responded by grabbing his hand. Penumbra notices, and assumes that Umbra is conscious.
Penumbra : "Umbra... are you okay..?"
Umbra : "I am, sweetie... you don't need
to worry about me."
Penumbra : "You almost died... how is it
okay?!"
Umbra : "Point is, you're safe... that's all
that matters to me."
Penumbra fell silent. Even upon facing certain death, he is still on her thoughts. Soon enough, the Servants left the room, after seeing that the Mistress has enough HP to sustain herself.
Umbra : "I told you to not go into the
battlefield... why?"
Penumbra : "Remember what you told
me...?"
"It's our mess. We are in
this, together."
Umbra realizes that Penumbra remembers her promise, and that he keeps the promise. Tears start to flow from her eyes, her soul touched by Penumbra's bravery. Seeing Umbra about to cry, Penumbra hugs her, and tries to comfort her. They both laid down on the bed, and Penumbra tightly wrapped his arms around Umbra.
Umbra : "Y'know... i feel lucky."
"Lucky to have you."
"It's a shame only I get to
experience what it's like, to be
with the perfect man... to be
with you."
Penumbra : "I-"
Umbra : "Shush, even your height is
perfect to me."
Penumbra's face went flush. For so long, he has been insecure about his height. Now that he's validated by Umbra, he's now happier than ever.
Umbra : "Even though we've been
together for only a few days...
those are a great few days."
"You gave me something to
reminisce forever."
"Thank you, Penumbra."
"I love you."
Penumbra : "I love you too."
