Two fingers wrapped themselves around the linen string; once loose and now tense. The yew wood arching its form further back as a thin arrow slots itself in the longbow. B-LA closes one eye and keeps her stance stable.

Moving the bow fluidly, as if it was automatically tracking the boar. The wild boar prances in and out of trees, roaring and growling in each step as it attempts to flee from B-LA. The next second, B-LA loses her arrow, slipping her two fingers off of the string. It pincers itself into the boar, killing it instantly. A perfect hit. The rustling of trees disappeared and was immediately replaced by the sound of cheering.

"Dear, that was perfect. Your technique and form from the beginning to the end was perfect. It was as if I was watching an artist." Mother commented.

"Thanks Mother, I have been doing this all these years in order to support the village."

B-LA couldn't help but smile, it was one if not her first praise ever received from her parents. Mother paced forward, locking eye contact with B-LA the entire time.

"I believe that once you grow a little older, you can come with us down the mountain and live a  normal life." Mother stated.

B-LA grinned. Maybe she was able to finally spend more time with her parents but the thought still loomed over her head. A normal life? B-LA couldn't help but wonder what that meant. Wasn't she already living a normal life this entire time?

"Now dear, it is getting a bit late, we'll talk more tomorrow." Mother spoke, walking to her hut while holding Father's hand.

"Thank you for watching me." B-LA waved as she watched her parents enter their huts for the first time in three years.

Returning home, B-LA lies in her bed, continuing to think about her future. Her life. Her existence. Is this normal? Is our entire village normal? What is normal. The simple word 'normal' piqued her curiosity. The urge to trek down the mountain set aflame.

Yes, I will leave this village with my parents and found out what a normal life is. B-LA thought.

Well, at least that was what she thought that would happen.

It was pitch black outside, yet not completely. The moon is waning yet not enough to provide a complete light source on the mountain. An external source. B-LA lifted her eyes slightly, the light was a bit blinding for her to see everything. Silhouettes present themselves in front of the light. Most of the shadows looked manly, though there seemed to be two women chatting outside. They waved to each other. Then the shadows disappeared rather; the entire light disappeared and the silhouettes were no longer visible.

No one treks up here that often, no one can provide that much light with just a candle. What is that?  She thought to herself once more.

B-LA closed her eyelids, theorising to herself even further before falling into a deep slumber.

Note: I apologise if the spelling may be different from the modern English. I am not from America nor the United Kingdom, therefore my spelling may not be the same as you, dear reader. When I type, I do see red lines under my work, marking a spelling error . Like the word 'apologize' is spelt with a 'z' in some countries while others spell it as 'apologise' with a 's'.  My English is also abysmal so I humbly request some feedback if you do wish to provide so. Thank you for your generous cooperation.
