The room was quiet and eerie as I sat on a black, leather couch. Travis sat across from me on an identical couch, not taking his green eyes away from me either, his two enormous arms spread on top of the couch and resting his feet on a square, glass table. I felt uncomfortable under his gaze and looked towards Matt who stood by the window. His hands pushed up against the glass staring aimlessly outside. Matt's blonde, messy hair looking gold in the sunlight while Travis's hair seemed perfect and clean cut. A red material draped from the top of the windows on either side of Matt making him look lonely or lost, almost like a picture or a memory. I turned to find Douglas walking back and forth in front of the huge, white oak doors. I raised an eyebrow at him wondering why he is so worried.
The doors opened up to reveal Sarah and three mysterious men behind her. She walked past Douglas and stood at the end of my couch glaring down at me, her evil eyes wondering over my body as I blankly looked up at her.
"First off, Miss Jackson, you're bleeding on my wooden floors." Sarah's tone was sharp and harsh and I glanced down at the floor. A slow trail of red blood flowed down my leg, coating my white shoe in red, I moved my foot around in a small circle as the red material stuck to my skin. I didn't feel any pain from my leg, I've had worst injuries. I frowned back at Sarah letting her know that I apologize and to continue.
"Second, I was in the middle of an important meeting about some economic development and the problem of the 'Underground Eruption City'. So, this better be important!" She leaned closer gritting her teeth at me. My hands were drenched in sweat as I tried not to seem horrified by this devil.
"What's the problem with the Underground Eruption City?" Travis's voice shook like thunder, his green eyes sharp like lightening; sitting straight up on the leather couch, his green eyes challenging Sarah's blue ones.
"The problem, Mr. Walker, is that the Eruption City is illegal and nothing but chaos. There is no order or rules, and I'm quite sure that you have the potential to be a body guard in Ocala than being a bouncer in Eruption City." Her voice was tense yet strong. She straightened herself and turned towards my direction. She left Travis furious and hostile burning in his emerald, green eyes.
"Miss Jackson, what was so important you needed to talk about." Sarah's tone softened and smiled kindly to me. I stood up, flattening my white, flowing dress and rolled my shoulders back.
"What did you do to my weapons?!" I said in a dark, deep voice making Sarah flinch back, her smile disappeared. She narrowed her dark, blue eyes at me while I copied her evil look with my brown eyes.
"Somewhere locked away and where no one can get hurt. Is that what you interrupted my meetings for an irreverent question?" She spat at me. Her blue dress matching her evil blue eyes, her smirk making her as mysterious as black snake. Douglas hovered behind me, I just noticed his warm body next to my back, I felt invincible and confident to take Sarah on.
"No, where are my clothes also?" I crossed my arms over my chest. A slight shock of pain spread through my knee as I felt the blood crack as I knew the blood was dry now. Sarah looked at me stupidly like I was a five year old talking to a tree with a bucket on top of my head. I noticed Matt moving next to his brother, Travis stood calm as Matt shifting from foot to foot nervously.
"Obviously they're on your body. Are you always this stupid?" She complained, crossing her arms as well. I rolled my eyes, wondering how much of 'her' I can take.
"Not these rags of clothes your kind gave me, the clothes I was wearing when I was captured forcibly." I said. Douglas placed his hand on my lower back, making my back arch by his warm touch, but quickly recovered to my firm stance. Sarah grinned and waved her hand in the air like there was a fly in her face.
