Underwater

Chapter 6

"Mika?!"

"Ehm, long story short, I ran away from the bullies in school, traded my legs and voice for this and this guy over there found me last week, broke the spell and I'm in love with him, more shocking like this isn't possible anyways."

"Why didn't you tell us?"

"I don't know, I was scared, I was hurt, I didn't think. I'm sorry."

"Oh, darling!"

"Could you pick me up please, Andy?"

"Sure."

"Just give me a towel, we're trying to find a way out of this.", he smiled embarrassed.

After a few minutes his legs appeared again.

"So, you spent the last years as a.... merman?"

"Yes, in Greece."

"Greece?!"

"Yep, don't know why, I just swam."

"Wow. We're you lonely?"

"Most of the time yes, but last week I found him, he almost drowned and I saved him.", he said with a dreamy look.

"You turn into a fish every time you get wet?"

"At the moment, but we're searching for a solution.", I smiled, trying to ignore the fact that we had to 'mate' tonight.

"I'm so glad we have you back brother mine.", his sister hugged him.

After a few hours we made our way back to the hotel.

"Can we fly back?"

"Now?"

"Yes, it's only 1pm. I want to go back to our beach one last time before we....you know."

"Okay, ehm, we can still wait until next month, if you don't want to, I won't force you."

"I don't want to annoy you with the keeping me away from water thing, I really like you, but it's been 20 years, what if I can't deal with it, I spent more time as a fish than as a human, what if I miss it?", he said looking out of the window.

"First of all, you don't annoy me, secondly if you miss it, I will help you get over it okay? Pack your bags now, we fly back."

"Really?!"

"Yes."

We packed our stuff and took the next flight back to Greece, I held his hand the whole flight, because he seemed to get more nervous the more it got late, when we arrived, we straight went to the beach.

"Here we are the place where we met."

"Yes, do you come with me one more time?"

"Of course."

He went into the water and his blue golden tail appeared, he took my hand and dived down, it was beautiful, so many colors and animals, I looked at him, his eyes were sad, I knew there would be tears if we weren't underwater. We went back up and sat on the rock, I pulled him closer into a hug, the sun began to set, we watched the beautiful sunset over the ocean, slowly the stars appeared on the purple sky.

"Should we go back? I think it's time."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, but Im also very nervous and scared."

"Don't be, I promise you it will be beautiful.", I smiled and kissed him.

We went back to the hotel, he was so nervous his hands were shaking.

"Sh. Calm down, I won't hurt you.", I held his waist and pulled him closer, he was avoiding eye contact and played with his fingers.

"You're cute.", I giggled and kissed him, he started to relax a bit.

I gently pushed him on the bed, unbuttoning his shirt.

"What are you doing?!"

"You really have no idea, do you?"

"Ehm....."

"It's okay trust me and relax."

I moved down to his pants, as I touched him, he pulled away.

"Are you really sure you're ready?", he shook his head.

"Okay, breathe, we start again with a kiss, remember I saw you naked already, don't be scared, and if you still don't like it or feel uncomfortable we stop, okay?", he nodded.

I again kissed him, soon we got deeper, he closed his eyes and seemed to enjoy, I didn't want to scare him again so I told him what I was going to do. I took off his clothes and then mine.

"I'm going to touch you, gentle and slow.", he smiled at me.

I slipped my hand into his boxers, he tensed and bit his lip, I slowly removed it, he smiled with closed eyes.

"Don't be shocked now, I'm going to start.", I whispered and he looked at me with big eyes.

As I started he winced and I immediately stopped.

"Did I hurt you?"

"It's okay, go on.", he smiled.

He relaxed and closed his eyes, smiling nonstop, after a few minutes we finished, he placed his head on my chest and smiled holding my hand.

"It was beautiful. Thank you."

"I'm glad you liked it, you were amazing, thanks for your trust."

"I love you too. Do you think it worked?"

"We'll see, but not now. Good night."

"Nighty.", we fell asleep in this position very soon, I hoped it worked.

The next morning, I went out to buy breakfast, he was still sleeping, when I came back he was gone.

"Mika?"

"Bathtub!"

"Why did you take a bath?! What if you need to get out?!"

"Don't worry about that.", smiled and put his leg straight up.

"It worked?"

"Yes! Come here join me!"

"What?"

"Come in! I want you in here with me!"

"We won't fit in there together. At home we can do it, my bathtub is bigger."

"Okay. Can we go to the beach?"

"Sure."

We went to the same place as yesterday, he went in and smiled as he didn't turned into a fish, but still had a sad look on his face.

"What's wrong?"

"I kind of miss breathing underwater.", he sadly smiled and sat on the rock.

"That was cool, but now you don't have to worry about water or being alone again.", I petted his back.

"I wish I could go back sometimes.", he said and a blue tail came back.

"What the hell? That's not what I meant go back!"

"Nothing's happening!"

"I wish I had legs!", he shouted and his legs came back.

"Wait a second. I wish I had a fishtail.", and the tail came back.

"Wait you can change?"

"Apparently. Wait the pearl thing said it will fulfill our lives, maybe I'm meant to be half mermaid! Merman...", he smiled.

Now he didn't have to choose a life, he could go back swimming whenever he wanted, without being alone again, I loved to see him this happy, although we only met two weeks ago, I won't let him go ever again.
