I looked at Steven who looked horrified. Dad looked at me. I could tell, this wasn't a good time to say anything. "I'm sorry, Mr. Montana. It was all my fault, not hers" Steven stated. Dad looked at Steven and I could tell, he was about to go full WWE on him. I, his youngest daughter and princess, had a sex kiss; in school, in public and that kiss belonged in a bed. Not saying that we will get into bed with each other, but not saying I wouldn't want that. Just putting that out there. "Dad. I'm sorry. We can put this in the past now;Right?" I asked. He shook his head. "Wrong. Steven I'm sorry but you can't see Jazz anymore." I gasped and rolled my eyes. Steven looked at me with sadness. "Which includes, at lunch, in the halls, library or anywhere else you two see each other. If I see you around her, I'll put a restraining order on you and you will be forced, by law, not to see her again. Do I make myself clear?" Dad asked. I felt a tear. It wasn't going to fall, it was just going to stay there, Alone, just like I was. Steven was my life and without him, I'm dead. "Dad wait-" was all I could say, before dad asked 'am I clear?' One more time. Steven nodded and gave me a hug before walking out quietly. I was the youngest and I understood that they didn't want me to grow up too fast, but it was my life and I controlled it, not the other way around. "I thought you loved Jacob? What happened to him?" Dad asked. Shit. I had completely forgot about the 'J' word. I will not say his name. Since he obviously doesn't care for me, I should call the date off. No, Jazz, he'll come. Don't worry. Part of me still wanted to love Jacob, but the other part had doubts and I was on both sides. I did want to love Jacob, Like how Sponge-Bob loved his job as a fry cook. But then the other part of me hated Jacob. For not coming to see me and for missing numerous dates. "Well what happened to you and Mom?!" I asked with slight anger. "She died" he was playing dumb. He knew exactly what I was talking about:The divorce papers. "No. You and mom got a divorce and didn't tell us! We're old enough to know these things. Why didn't you tell us?" I shouted at dad. Adrian and Ryan walked up to me. "He didn't tell you, sis" Ryan stated quietly. I let my tear fall down my cheek. "Great, now I feel stupid. You don't think I'm old enough to know this?! Well dad, believe it or not, I am!" I rolled my eyes. "I see what's going on. You don't think I'm old enough to understand this? Well guess what? I'm going to hang out with Steven and you're not gonna stop me!" I said. Dad walked up to me. "No the hell you're not. And why am I not gonna stop you?" "Because I'm leaving this family." I grabbed my jacket and walked out the door making sure to slam it. I took out my phone to text Steven. I asked him where he was and if we could talk. He replied that he was at McDonalds down the street. I began walking, still in my dress, that was making me really hot, and in my Converse High Tops, which were still comfy. This was the perfect time to walk around Tampa. It wasn't too cold or too hot. It was a slight breeze and it felt really good. I opened the door to McDonalds and spotted Steven at a booth all alone. He had a happy meal. I smiled and walked over to him. "Really?" I asked giggling. He smiled and gestured for me to sit across from him. "I had $5 and I was hungry." I nodded and grabbed a fry. I know Steven was worried about being around me with the restraining order and all. "So is stealing people's clothes normal for you or?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. He chuckled. "Come on let's go get your clothes." He said getting up. We're we really going to his house, well his and Bryan's house? I wondered what it looked like. Well we shall soon see!
**************
"Welcome to my house, mama" he said opening the door for me to get out. The exterior was beautiful. The flowers were in feat rows, the bushes trimmed and no leaves on the ground. He took out his key and opened the door. It was quiet. "Bryan's out " he stated as if he was reading my mind. I nodded and followed him. "Here are all of your clothes. I'll give you time to change and meet me back outside. Oh and leave this Converse on" he stated before closing the door. I shrugged. What were we going to do after I changed? I looked at his neat and organized room. I nodded in approval, and put on my jeans. Steven was a fan of baseball. He had a Texas Rangers poster hung up above the dresser. I opened the door and walked downstairs. "Steven?" I asked. No answer. I walked outside to see him on a skateboard. He looked up at me and told me to come over to him. I did. "You know how to ride?" He nodded. "Do you?" I shook my head. He grabbed my wrist and put me on the board. "What are you doing" I asked laughing. "I'm gonna teach you how to skateboard" he stood on the skateboard with me and wrapped his arms around my waist. "Steven I'm scared. A skateboard is for one person" I said wrapping my jacket around my waist. He smiled down at me which made me sort of calm. "Relax mama. I gotcha" he said before pushing off on one foot. I felt the breeze through my hair and smiled. This was really fun and I was enjoying it. "Fun, right?!" Steven asked laughing. "Totally" Even though we only went down the street this was too fun. Steven had me tight. I was glad I had me Steven and that he was in my life. He stopped the board with his foot and I hopped off. He opened the trunk of a car and sat in it. I laughed and sat by him. He took out his phone and showed me a picture of us. I didn't remember taking this picture. "Where was this?" I asked confused. Was Steven someone else? Someone I needed to know about. "WWE. Remember you were fighting Big Show and your dad was in that fight and your mom-" he paused. I wiped away a tear. "My mom" I stated quietly. "Jazz, I'm so sorry" he said. I nodded and put my head in his chest. "My life is just terrible. My mom is dead, my brothers and dad hate my crush and Jacob-" "what about Jacob. Is he not treating you right?" I shook my head. Jacob wasn't abusing me or anything like that and he he did choose football over me, I could easily get with Steven. Win-Win situation. "I already told you. Remember in Detention?" He nodded. "Jazz, I hope you know that I love you and would never hurt or do anything harmful to you; you know that right?" I wiped my eyes which were covered in black mascara. It was drippy and droopy and probably looked bad. "I know." I love you to. I love you so much. Kiss me now, please, Was what I said in my head. "So" I said causing Steven to look at me. "-What type of stuff do you like?" I asked. He tapped his chin and I giggled. "I like Texas Rangers baseball, I like the San Diego Chargers, since that's where I'm from, and I like Mexican and American food" I nodded. "Why did you move to Dallas?" I asked. He stayed silent for a minute before he sighed deeply. "When I was thirteen, My parents got a divorce. My dad would come home drunk. Almost every night he would torture her while I was chained up and couldn't help her. One night he came home and me and my mom were planning on running away. We had made it an hour into the drive, when my dad hit our car. My mom's last words were, 'Save yourself from him'. After that my dad killed her and I still had to watch. I decided to runaway. I took all the money I had and bought a train ticket to Dallas. My dad hated Dallas and I figured he wouldn't come there. When I got to Dallas, no one wanted me, except for Bryan's family. They took me in and I called the 'mom and dad' for four years. Well that's what happened" he said. I hopped off the car and walked over to him. "Steven, I'm so sorry. Does anyone else know?" I asked. He shook his head. "Please don't tell. It's just you" I looked at him surprised at what he told me. "But you-" "No Jazz, promise you won't tell. Not even Bryan" "But-" "promises" I sighed. I did not want to say these words I was about to say. Someone had to know what he went through. He could probably use physical therapy to forget about that. I rolled my eyes at him. "Ok, I promise" the sun was starting to set and it was getting cooler. I put my plaid jacket back on and sat it the trunk of the car. "Wanna see something cool?" Steven asked. I nodded and followed behind him. He led me to the backyard which had a patio. "Close your eyes" he said. I put my hands over my eyes and waited patiently. He removed my hands and I saw the patio lit up with lights. It reminded me of Christmas lights, the gold kind. The backyard had a pool and a stereo set by the grill. Plus, a trampoline! It was the backyard I had always wanted. "Whoa! This is awesome" I said. He turned on the stereo and Thinking Out Loud, by Ed Sheeran was on. "May I have this dance, malady" he asked reaching out his hand. I giggled and took it. Steven was a really good dancer and together, we were like Ariana Grande and Big Sean. He spun me around, and I returned to him. He then dipped me and my hair was everywhere he raised me back up and the song was over. I blushed profusely at him. "Let's jump" I said grabbing his hand and running to the trampoline. I took off my shoes and we began to jump. Hand in hand we jumped and laughed. We both fell laughing and smiling. The Stars were shining and it was completely dark. The only light was from the moon and the patio. Steven pointed up to the stars. "They're so beautiful. I love watching the stars" I said. The stars were peaceful. I loved star gazing with my mom when I was younger, but we both got busier and busier and we couldn't do it anymore. A lady and man walked out onto the patio hand in hand. At first I thought it was Bryan and Lilly, but this couple looked older. "Steven?" The lady asked causing us to both look up at them. The couple had on clothes that you'd see only in some fancy place. The outfits were way too classy. "Yes Ms.Newell?" Steven asked. The couple was smiling. These were Bryan's parents! They looked like lovely people, I smirked to myself at the rich people humor. "Who's this young lady?" Ms.Newell asked. I smiled. "I'm Jazzmine, but you can call me Jazz, But Jazzmine works too, whichever you prefer. It's totally up to you" I said slightly smiling. I just mad a complete fool of myself in front of Bryan's parents. "Well, Jazz! We're the Newell's. You probably know our son Bryan. He'll be here shortly, but I'm Catherine and this is my husband Thomas." I shook both of their hand; still smiling and tired of standing, I made a quick excuse on how I had to leave. "Oh no dear, you can stay here for dinner. We insist" Ms. Newell said. I smiled apologetically. "Oh no no no, I don't want to put you into any trouble. I'll get something on the way home" Where is Steven? Come make excuses for me!!! "Oh it's no trouble at all, we insist you stay." Ms. Newell came back with. I rolled my eyes in my head so they wouldn't see the disrespect I was giving them. "Are you sure it's no trouble?" I asked again. "No trouble at all" she smiled. I nodded. "Okay. I'll stay" Ms.Newell clasped her hand and walked in. Her husband followed behind. I hopped back on the trampoline. "Did you see what just happened?" I asked. Steven nodded and chuckled. "Yep I wonder what's for dinner. Embarrassment or finding out about you" I rolled my eyes and stood up on the trampoline. I jumped really hard causing Steven to flip over. "I'd say embarrassment!" I smiled as I hopped off. Steven jumped off and led me inside. Bryan was already there. "Go behind the couch, so we can prank Bryan" Steven whispered. I followed orders and stayed as quiet as I could. "What girl are you bringing. It better not be a psychopath like all the other girls you date." Bryan said. I rolled my eyes at his comment. I was no psychopath! Steven looked at me. "Just say boo" he mouthed. I nodded and waited for the three he was going to give. 1,2,3 I rose from behind the sofa and attacked Bryan. He laughed along with me and Steven. I took a seat on the sofa by Bryan. "What are you doing here?" He asked. Shit. What should I say. I couldn't just say, 'oh, I'm here because I ran away from home and came to visit Steven after my dad told me not to' . I had kept them from the answer for so long that I had forgot what they asked. "Hm?" Bryan asked. "Oh yeah, I came to visit" I stated. Steven raised an eyebrow at me. I smiled slightly waiting for someone to change the subject. Soon Ms.Newell came in and announced the dinner was ready. "We're having Chicken Martini with asparagus" she smiled. These people were trying to kill me! I hated asparagus and whatever 'Chicken Martini' was sounded disgusting. I had to eat the food. I didn't want to be rude, but then again, I didn't ask to stay so if the waste food on me, it necessarily won't be on me. I took a seat by Steven and stared at the family not in a rude way, but more like when-can-I-eat-this-food kind of look. But, of course, Ms.Newell had to be difficult. She wanted to know more about me. "Well, um, I like Pizza and Mexican Food. My favorite artists are Fifth Harmony, and my best friends name is Lilly." I said. I didn't know what to say. I honestly wanted to go home. "Do you like Steven?" She asked. All heads turned my way and I blushed. "Yes? Actually I don't know. He's very nice and all but I actually have a boyfriend" I said. Steven looked disappointed. Had I said something wrong? Hurt his feelings? "Well at least if I were your boyfriend, I wouldn't miss dates!" She said standing up and getting ready to leave. "Steven-" I got ready to say a new sentence before he cut me off. "No. Forget it. Jacob isn't right for you! I am! Why do you still love him?!" He shouted before leaving and running up the stairs. We heard a slam. "Um, Ms.Newell, can I-" she nodded. "Upstairs Hun" she smiled. I excused myself from the table and quietly walked up the stairs. I knocked on his door softly, before opening it. "Steven?" I asked softly. He was at his desk faced away from me. "W-What happened Down there?" I asked. He shook his head. "Jazz, I love you. So so much and hearing you say that..... I don't know, it hurt" I stayed silent not knowing how to make this situation better. "Jazz, he's not going to show up on that date Friday. You know that right" I did know that, but I needed to know if Jacob loved me. I wanted him to love me. Our relationship has started to fall lately and I want a strong relationship. "Steven,-" I started. What should I say? What should I say?! I repeated in my head. "-I like you but I can't be sure yet. What if Jacob does show" I smiled slightly. He shook his head and stood in front of me again. "Always thinking on the Optimistic side huh, mama" he said squeezing me tight. That action made my body feel so warm and I loved this position we were in. "Can I please go home?" I asked. I loved their family but I was really sleepy and hungry and I was not, going to eat that downstairs. "Sure, mama" he grabbed my clothes and took them downstairs. "Make up an alibi" he whispered. I nodded and walked back to the table. "I'm sorry Ms.Newell, but my brother is in the hospital and I have to go. Nice to me you all" I smiled. Ms.Newell was destined not to let me leave. "What happened to him" "food poisoning. My dad tried to cook, you know how that is" I stated. Hopefully I was done here. "Well bye sweetie. Steven's taking you home?" I nodded and walked out of the house. As soon as I closed the door and leaned against it and excelled air. I saw Steven in the drivers seat and I went to the passenger side. "So what's the real reason you came?" Steven asked. Well, my parents got a divorce but told everyone except me so I ran away. No biggie. "-Aren't you worried about the restraining order?" He asked. I shook my head. "My dad can't put you on a restraining order. It's for me. I mean I've never been to one of those offices but I'm pretty sure I have to sign it" I shrugged. He stopped of the red light. My house is around the corner. "So we have school tomorrow. You have a favorite teacher?" I asked not appreciating the silence. I know, it was a horrible question to ask but, well there is no but I just hated to be quiet. Ask any of my teachers. "Not really. Do you" who was he asking? He was asking a Jazz Anoa'i! "I'm Jazz, I hate school and everything associated with it!" I laughed. He smiled at me. His smile was so cute. "Oh right I forgot!" Now is the perfect time! Ask him to the Waterpark, no one's here and it's so silent. "So me and my family are going to the Waterpark on Friday. Would you like to come?" I asked slightly. I honestly wouldn't care if he didn't come, I just wanted him to. Just so I wouldn't be lonely, that sounds so selfish right?! Yep, it totally does. "I'd love to but I can't. I'm going to the Talent Show" I burst into laughter. The Talent show was a waste of time. There was only 1 good act if you were lucky. The kids there did basic things and got applauded for the 'talents'. One day I was complaining about it being terrible and no good and I just so happened to get in trouble on that day. Going was my punishment! I couldn't get on my phone or leave, unless it was to the restroom and mom had to go with me, but the point of that dares sing thought is I will never go to a talent show, ever again. "Wait. Wait" I said laughing. "-The talent show. Well it's a waste of your time, I'm just letting you know" he stopped at my next door neighbors house, just so my brothers wouldn't come out to see what was wrong. He took out his phone. "I honestly don't remember taking that picture. Because I would've remembered you from WWE. At the bar, I had never seen you. Plus I can't believe you just packed up and moved to Tampa. I mean doesn't moving take days?" Steven looked up at me and smiled, probably thinking 'She talks a lot, but I like it'. "I told you, we were moving to New York and when we heard you were here, we decided to move here. We had no house in New York, but Bryan and I did some research and found the nice house we live in now" he said. I stared out the clear mirror of the car, which was an Infinity. It was a 2015 model too. "-Come to the talent show. It'll be fun" he said. I shook my head. I would rather go to the Waterpark lonely and upset than be bored and have nothing to do at the Talent Show. "Sorry, I have the disorder where I can't be bored for more than an hour. That's why I hate school. Eight hours of hell" I said. He grabbed my hand. "Please mama, you can invite Lilly if you want to" he pleaded for me to come, he wanted me to come. What kind of person would I be if I didn't go? Oh yeah, a person who has a mind in its rightful place! I looked at Steven's eyes which screamed out please. "I thought you liked me, and I taught you how to ride a skateboard." He said giving me puppy dog eyes. Do not give in, I thought. "Ok" I said sounding defeated. Steven smiled. " let meGet your clothes mama" he said getting out of the car. I opened the door to get out too and walked to the trunk. "I wish I could walk you up there but-" "it's ok" I interrupted him. He handed me my clothes and kissed my nose. I smiled and walked up the steps to my house. I grabbed my key and unlocked the door. Ryan and Adrian were on the couch watching what was probably wrestling. Watch them say 'we missed you so much' and I will proceed to say,' obviously you didn't because you didn't come looking for me' just wait on it. Ryan got up and walked over to where I was. "Where were you?" He asked. Well, I was with Steven in Steven's car alone with Steven until his 'mom' come out invited me to dinner and offered me a plate of healthy food that I didn't want to eat. That's all! "Out" I replied sounding a little sassy. Adrian walked over to us, I think he might've heard our little chat. "Out where?" Adrian asked. I need an alibi come on think Jazz."with Lilly" I stated. I kept my eyes on him as he walked over to me. "Really? Because Lilly came over looking for you after you didn't return her calls" he smirked evilly. Shit, now what?
